Norbert Mészáros
Norbert Mészáros (; born 19 August 1980) is a Hungarian professional footballer who plays for Hajdúszoboszló. He is usually deployed as a central defender but can also play left back. Club career Born in Pápa, Mészáros started playing football with his local team Pápai ELC. In 2000, his career took off when he signed for Dunaújváros FC. Other teams he played for include BKV Előre, BFC Siófok and the German team FC Energie Cottbus. Since 2005, Mészáros has played for OTP Bank Liga side Debreceni VSC. Debrecen On 8 September 2010, Mészáros was suspended by UEFA along with teammate Vukašin Poleksić, as a match between Debrecen and Fiorentina in the 2009–10 UEFA Champions League was investigated for match-fixing. Both players appealed and on 5 May 2011 the Court of Arbitration for Sport announced its decision, with the ban of Poleksić being upheld and Mészáros' ban being rescinded. Pápa
Pápa is a historical town in Veszprém county, Hungary, located close to the northern edge of the Bakony Hills, and noted for its baroque architecture. With its 32,473 inhabitants (2011), it is the cultural, economic and tourism centre of the region. Match-fixing
In organized sports, match fixing is the act of playing or officiating a match with the intention of achieving a pre-determined result, violating the rules of the game and often the law. There are many reasons why match fixing might take place, including receiving bribes from bookmakers or sports bettors, and blackmail. Hajdú-Bihar ( hu, Hajdú-Bihar megye, ) is an administrative county (comitatus or megye) in eastern Hungary, on the border with Romania. Pécsi Mecsek Football Club, commonly referred to as Pécsi MFC or simply PMFC, is a professional Hungarian football club based in Pécs, Baranya, that currently competes in the Hungarian second division. The 2011–12 Magyar Kupa (English: ''Hungarian Cup'') was the 72nd season of Hungary's annual knock-out cup football competition. It started with the first match of Round 1 on 7 August 2011 and ended with the Final held in May 2012 at Stadium Puskás Ferenc, Budapest. Penalty Shoot-out (association Football)
A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different kickers; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead. If scores are level after five pairs of shots, the shootout progresses into additional " sudden-death" rounds. Balls successfully kicked into the goal during a shoot-out do not count as goals for the individual kickers or the team, and are tallied separately from the goals scored during normal play (including extra time, if any). The Ferenc Puskás Stadium ( hu, Puskás Ferenc Stadion), or formerly People's Stadium (''Népstadion'') was a multi-purpose stadium in the 14th district (Zugló) of Budapest, Hungary. It was situated between the Puskás Ferenc Stadion and the Keleti pályaudvar metro stations. It was used mainly for football matches. Zalaegerszegi Torna Egylet Football Club (), commonly known as Zalaegerszegi TE, Zalaegerszeg or ZTE, is a football club from the city of Zalaegerszeg in Hungary. Zalaegerszeg has won one Hungarian League title in 2002. History ZTE traces its roots back to 1912, at the time of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Its first match was a 4–2 defeat to a team from Vasvár. The team was first composed of members of a literary and debating society. ZTE flourished under coach József Vadász, but World War I halted its progress.
