Nora Kiss
Nora Kiss, birth name Eguine Eleonora Adamiantz, (1908–1993) was a Russian-born French ballerina and dance instructor. Together with her mother and her aunt, the dancer Rousanne Sarkissian, she fled the Russian Revolution and moved to Paris where she trained under . From 1938, she taught at the Studio Wacker dance school in Paris. She moved to Rome during World War II but returned to Paris thereafter. For many years, she spent two days a week teaching at the Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels. Recognized as one of the most competent dance instructors associated with the Studio Wacker, her students included Marcia Haydée and Maurice Béjart. Ballet of the 20th Century (french: Ballet du XXme Siècle), was a ballet and contemporary dance company in Brussels, Belgium in 1960, by the French/Swiss choreographer Maurice Béjart. For many years it was the official dance company of the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie. The company was known for including South and East Asian elements in its performances. History Bejart had previously founded a company in Paris, which he named first Les Ballets de l'Étoile, and later Ballet Théâtre de Maurice Bejart. When he moved to Brussels in 1960, he relocated the company and renamed it Ballet du XXme Siècle. Jean Guizerix (born 27 October 1945) is a French ballet dancer and choreographer. Biography Born in Paris in 1945, Guizerix is described as "tall and muscular, with a brooding Basque face". He studied dance privately before he joined the Paris Opera Ballet (1964). He was nominated ''etoile'' (star) eight years later. His wife, Wilfride Piollet, is also a former ''etoile'' of the Paris Opera Ballet. They created their own company in 1980. Wilfride Piollet
Wilfride Piollet (28 April 1943 – 20 January 2015) was a French ballerina and choreographer. She was born in Saint-Rambert-d'Albon. Her philosophy of dance and her research led to the publication of several books. Piollet joined the Paris Opera Ballet company in 1960. She gained the rank "coryphée" in 1963, "sujet" in 1964, soloist in 1966, and was promoted to principal dancer (étoile) in 1969. In 1973, ''Nouvelle lune c-à-d'' (Andy Degroat) was created for her retirement of the Paris Opera. Invited as a guest by Rudolf Nureyev, she danced at the Paris Opera until 1990, the year when Jean Guizerix left (''Carte Blanche''). At the Paris Opera and worldwide, she performed the classical, neo-classical and contemporary repertory, and from the 1980s, the Baroque and Renaissance ones.
