is the protagonist of an eponymous series of children's picture books written by . Books from the series have been translated into French and Chinese and adapted into an anime series in 1992 (where his voice was provided by Chiaki Fujimoto and Ayaka Saitō). As of December 2020, over 33.6 million copies of the ''Nontan'' books have been sold. In the series, Nontan is a mischievous male kitten who likes to play and learn about the world around him. is a Japanese actress, voice actress, and comedienne formerly employed by Vocal before transferring to remax. She is best known for voicing Momiji Sohma in ''Fruits Basket'', Tomoka Rana Jude in ''Girls Bravo'', Mitsukuni Haninozuka in ''Ouran High School Host Club'' and Ruby in the ''Jewelpet'' franchise. She has great respect for her Ouran co-star Maaya Sakamoto, and calls the older lady "Onee-sama" (お姉さま, a very respectful way of saying "elder sister"). , full name , is a Japanese tarento whose career ranges from singing, designing baby clothes, voice acting, and other similar pursuits in the entertainment industry. Biography Chiaki was born in Maizuru, Kyoto on October 26, 1971 as the daughter of the chairman of Nippon Sheet Glass. Due to her father's job, she moved to Ichihara, Chiba soon after her birth. At the age of three, she started to take piano lessons, and continued for twelve years until she graduated from middle school. Although acting as a weird childish girl is her show business image, she is in fact known as a very well-mannered business person, as a result of exchanging letters with her mother who taught her etiquette when she was around 9 years old.
