Nonakrida
Nonacris or Nonakris ( grc, Νώνακρις) was a town of ancient Arcadia in the region of Pheneatis northwest of Pheneus, situated in what is now Achaea, southern Greece. Said to be named after the wife of Lycaon, Nonacris was part of the state of Pheneus. It was located near a cliff from which water thought to be that of the Styx trickled. By the time Pausanias visited the city, it was completely in ruins. The town is also noted by the ancient writers Herodotus, Stephanus of Byzantium, Pliny the Elder, Seneca, and Ovid. From this place Hermes is called Nonacriates Evander Nonacrius, Atalanta Nonacria, and Callisto Nonacrina virgo, in the general sense of Arcadian. Between 1835 and 1912, there was a municipality named ''Nonakrida'' ( el, Νωνάκριδα) named after the ancient city. Agia Varvara, Akrata
Agia Varvara ( el, Αγία Βαρβάρα) is a small village in the municipal unit of Akrata, Achaea, Greece. In 2011 its population was 44 for the village and 66 for the community, including the village Vounaki. It is built on the forested slopes of Mount Chelmos (Aroania). It is 3 km east of Mesorrougi, 15 km east of Kalavryta and 17 km south of Akrata. Mesorrougi (Greek: Μεσορρούγι) is a small village and a community in the municipal unit of Akrata, Achaea, Greece. It is built on the forested slopes of Mount Chelmos (Aroania). The community consists of the villages Mesorrougi, Ano Mesorrougi and Solos. It is 1 km south of Peristera, 12 km east of Kalavryta and 17 km southwest of Akrata. Ancient Arcadia
Arcadia ( el, Ἀρκαδία) is a region in the central Peloponnese. It takes its name from the mythological character Arcas, and in Greek mythology it was the home of the gods Hermes and Pan. Akrata
Akrata, ( el, Ακράτα) is a town and a former municipality in Achaea, West Greece, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Aigialeia, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 180.169 km2. Akrata is located on the right bank of the river Krathis, 3 km from its outflow into the Gulf of Corinth. The Greek National Road 8A/ E65 (Patras - Corinth) and the railway from Patras to Corinth pass through the municipal unit, northeast of the town. The nearest town is Aigeira, 4 km to the east. It is 23 km southeast of Aigio, 52 km east of Patras and 23 km northeast of Kalavryta. Kalavryta
Kalavryta ( el, Καλάβρυτα) is a town and a municipality in the mountainous east-central part of the regional unit of Achaea, Greece. The town is located on the right bank of the river Vouraikos, south of Aigio, southeast of Patras and northwest of Tripoli. Notable mountains in the municipality are Mount Erymanthos in the west and Aroania or Chelmos in the southeast.
