Non-League Football Show
''The Non-League Football Show'' is a weekly podcast. The show covers news and features from non-league football, that is, club football played in England at levels below The Football League. The presenter since its launch in 2006 has been Caroline Barker, with former Producer Tim Fuell assuming the main presenting role from 2016. The main presenter is usually accompanied each week by between one and two studio contributors, often from a mixture of regulars and special guests as well as two to four telephone guests from the world of non league football. ''The Non-League Football Show'' was originally broadcast on BBC London 94.9. It was moved to Radio 5 in August 2012, broadcasting at 05:30am. An extended edition was also available as a podcast and the show has peaked at number 29 in the UK iTunes chart. Caroline Barker
Caroline Barker (born 1981) is a British sports journalist and broadcaster who works in television and radio. She currently presents mainly for BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC World Service, Sky Sports and Premier League Productions. Barker was the first female presenter of Match Day Live for Premier League Productions. Career Barker first worked for BBC Essex, before joining BBC London 94.9 in 2004 as a sports reporter. While at BBC London, she worked as cover for sports reporters on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 4. Beyond sports news, Barker presents the award winning ''Sportshour'' for BBC World Service and was presenter of ''Sportsworld'' for the BBC World Service until 2015. Northern Premier League
The Northern Premier League is an English football league that was founded in 1968. It has four divisions: the Premier Division (which stands at level 7 of the English football league system), Division One East, Division One West and Division One Midlands (which stand at level 8). Geographically, the league covers all of Northern England and the northern/central areas of the Midlands, and western parts of East Anglia. Originally a single-division competition, a second division was added in 1987: Division One, and in 2007 a third was added when Division One split into two geographic sections - Division One North and Division One South. In 2018 Division One was re-aligned as East and West Divisions, then North West and South East in 2019. Non-League Football
Non-League football describes football leagues played outside the top leagues of a country. Usually, it describes leagues which are not fully professional. The term is primarily used for football in England, where it is specifically used to describe all football played at levels below those of the Premier League (20 clubs) and the three divisions of the English Football League (EFL; 72 clubs). Currently, a non-League team would be any club playing in the National League or below that level. Typically, non-League clubs are either semi-professional or amateur in status, although the majority of clubs in the National League are fully professional, some of which are former EFL clubs who have suffered relegation. Dave Anderson (footballer)
Dave Anderson (born 11 March 1962) is a Northern Irish media personality and former association football player and manager, best known for his role as manager of AFC Wimbledon from 2004 to 2007. He is currently manager of Chertsey Town. A goalkeeper in his playing days, Anderson played senior football for Glentoran and Bangor and internationally for Northern Ireland B before retiring prematurely through injury. Anderson moved back to England and embarked on a career in management at non-League level, being associated with over ten teams in the course of a career lasting over two decades. Southern Football League
The Southern League is a men's football competition featuring semi-professional clubs from the South and Midlands of England. Together with the Isthmian League and the Northern Premier League it forms levels seven and eight of the English football league system. The structure of the Southern League has changed several times since its formation in 1894, and currently there are 84 clubs which are divided into four divisions.
