Nomathemba Ntsibande
Nomathemba "Lanka" Ntsibande (born 19 April 1986) is a South African soccer player who plays as a defender for SAFA Women's League side JVW F.C. and the South Africa women's national team. Club career Springs Home Sweepers Ntsibande joined Sasol Women's League side Springs Home Sweepers as a 12-year old and spent a large part of her career playing for the club. JVW In 2018, she joined Sasol Women's League side JVW F.C. She made her debut on 7 April 2028 in a 1-0 victory over the University of Pretoria's amaTuks. She was part of the 2019 team that won the Gauteng Sasol League and went on to win their maiden National league title. International career In March 2012, she competed for the South Africa women's national soccer team in an international friendly against Ghana and was one of the penalty takers in a 5-4 penalty shootout win. KwaThema
KwaThema is a township south-west of Springs in the district of Ekurhuleni, Gauteng, South Africa. It was established in 1951 when Africans were forcibly removed from Payneville because it was considered by the apartheid government to be too close to a white town. The new township's layout was designed along modernist principles and became a model for many subsequent townships, although the envisaged social facilities were not implemented. The typical South African township house, the 51/9, was one of the plans developed for KwaThema. A black local authority with municipal status was established in 1984. In 1985 KwaThema experienced violent unrest and right-wing vigilante activity. 2016 Women's Africa Cup Of Nations
The 2016 Women's Africa Cup of Nations was the 12th edition of the biennial international football championship organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for the women's national teams of Africa. The tournament was held in Cameroon between 19 November and 3 December 2016. The initial dates were 8–22 October 2016, but were changed due to weather considerations. A total of eight teams played in the tournament.
