Nolan Hoffman
Nolan Hoffman (born 23 April 1985) is a South African road and track cyclist, who currently rides for South African team Enza. He was suspended for eighteen months after he tested positive for the use of testosterone on 18 October 2009. He competed in the scratch event at the UCI Track Cycling World Championships in 2012, 2013 and 2014, winning the silver medal in 2012. Franschhoek
Franschhoek (; Afrikaans for "French Corner", Dutch spelling before 1947 ''Fransche Hoek'') is a small town in the Western Cape Province and one of the oldest towns in South Africa. Formerly known as Oliphants hoek (as there were vast groups of elephants roaming the valley). It is situated about 75 kilometres from Cape Town a 45 minute drive away. The whole area including townships such as Groendal and suburbs such as Wemmershoek has a population of slightly over 20,000 people while the town proper, known as Hugenote, has a population of around 1,000. South African Track Cyclists
South is one of the cardinal directions or compass points. The direction is the opposite of north and is perpendicular to both east and west. The South African National Road Race Championship is a road bicycle race that takes place inside the South African National Cycling Championship, and decides the best cyclist in this type of race. 100 Cycle Challenge
The 100 Cycle Challenge is the biggest autumn road race for cyclists from across Gauteng Province and the rest of South Africa. It takes place annually on the first Sunday in May and is presented on a 100 kilometer circuit route that begins and ends at Germiston Lake in the City of Ekurhuleni, east of Johannesburg. The 2nd annual 100 Cycle Challenge was held on Sunday, 5 May 2019. It was announced there will not be an annual 100 Cycle Challenge race held for 2020, and the next scheduled race is Sunday, 2 May 2021. It is currently rated by the UCI as category 1.2. Cape Town Cycle Tour
The Cape Town Cycle Tour is an annual cycle race hosted in Cape Town, South Africa, usually long. It is the first event outside Europe to be included in the Union Cycliste Internationale's Golden Bike Series. South Africa hosts some of the largest, by the number of entrants, sporting events in the world with three being the largest of their type. The Cape Town Cycle Tour, with as many as 35 000 cyclists taking part, is the world's largest individually timed cycle race.
