Nokia C5-00
The Nokia C5-00 is the first in the new (at the time) Cseries of Nokia phones, announced March 2010. The C5-00 is a smartphone with messaging and social networking features, including, for example, Facebook and Flickr applications. The C5-00 allows multitasking and has a display and a 5.0-megapixel camera (C5-00.2: 5 MP). It also includes GPS and a free navigation courtesy of Ovi Maps. It runs on Symbian OS with S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2. It has a MicroSD slot with support for up to 16-gigabyte cards (C5-00.2: 32 GB) – the Nokia C5 comes with a two-gigabyte card in the box. Extensible HyperText Markup Language (XHTML) is part of the family of XML markup languages. Soft Key
A soft key is a button flexibly programmable to invoke any of a number of functions rather than being associated with a single fixed function or a fixed set of functions. A softkey often takes the form of a screen-labeled function key located alongside a display device, where the button invokes a function described by the text at that moment shown adjacent to the button on the display. Soft keys are also found away from the display device, for example on the sides of cellular phones, where they are typically programmed to invoke functions such as PTT, memo, or volume control. Secure Digital, officially abbreviated as SD, is a proprietary non-volatile flash memory card format developed by the SD Association (SDA) for use in portable devices. The standard was introduced in August 1999 by joint efforts between SanDisk, Panasonic (Matsushita) and Toshiba as an improvement over MultiMediaCards (MMCs), and has become the industry standard. The three companies formed SD-3C, LLC, a company that licenses and enforces intellectual property rights associated with SD memory cards and SD host and ancillary products. The S60 Platform (formerly Series 60 User Interface) was a software platform for smartphones that runs on top of the Symbian operating system. It was created by Nokia based on the 'Pearl' user interface from Symbian Ltd. It was introduced at COMDEX in November 2001 and first shipped with the Nokia 7650 smartphone. The platform has since seen 5 updated editions. Series 60 was renamed to ''S60'' in November 2005. Symbian is a discontinued mobile operating system (OS) and computing platform designed for smartphones. It was originally developed as a proprietary software OS for personal digital assistants in 1998 by the Symbian Ltd. consortium.
