''Noir'' (stylized as ''NØIR'') is the second studio album by American rapper Smino. It was released on November 8, 2018 with Zero Fatigue under license to Downtown Records and distributed by Interscope Records. The album includes guest appearances from Zero Fatigue members, Bari, Jay2, and Ravyn Lenae, as well as Dreezy, and Valee. The production came from himself, Monte Booker, Sango, THEMpeople, Phoelix, Krs, Al B Smoov, and Da-P. The artwork of the album was designed by Victor Birriel and taken by Nolis Anderson. The album debuted at number 191 on the US ''Billboard'' 200. Background As a follow-up to his debut album, Smino said in an interview with Rolling Stone that his vision for his sophomore release was "I just didn’t want to make the same album. Smino
Christopher Smith Jr. (born October 2, 1991), better known by his stage name Smino, is an American rapper and singer. Smino is the founder of the musical collective Zero Fatigue with Bari, Monte Booker, Jay2, and Ravyn Lenae. He is a member of the hip-hop supergroup Zoink Gang, with JID, Buddy and Guapdad 4000. He is also one third of the supergroup Ghetto Sage, with Saba and Noname. Smino is signed to Downtown Records and Interscope. Smino initially gained local recognition in 2012 where he released a mixtape called ''Smeezy Dot Com'', and a collaboration mixtape with Bari called ''Retail''. The Ringer is a sports and pop culture website and podcast network, founded by sportswriter Bill Simmons in 2016 and owned by Spotify since 2020. History The Ringer was launched in March 2016 by Bill Simmons, who brought along several editors who had previously worked with him on ''Grantland'', an ESPN-owned blog he operated from 2011 to 2015. Brooklyn Steel
Brooklyn Steel is an 1800-capacity music venue in Brooklyn, New York, United States. In 2018 Brooklyn Steel was named one of the 10 best live music venues in America by Rolling Stone Magazine. Construction for the venue began in July 2016, and it opened on April 6, 2017, with a five-night run of sold-out concerts by American rock band LCD Soundsystem. The venue contains a main floor, a balcony, forty restrooms, and three bars. The name of the venue was inspired by the fact that the building was originally used as a steel manufacturing plant. Much of the steel from the original building was repurposed for the venue. Critical reception At opening, the venue was "easy to see…quickly becoming yet another Williamsburg cultural beacon".
