Noel Larkin
Noel Larkin (born 6 January 1955, in Athlone) is an Irish former footballer who played for Athlone Town, Shamrock Rovers and Derry City F.C., Derry City. Biography Noel made his League of Ireland debut in 1971 at Tolka Park against Shelbourne as a left back. His versatility was a major plus for his hometown club as in his thirteen years at St Mel's Park he played in every outfield position. Noel won the League of Ireland twice and the League of Ireland Cup three times with his home club. He also represented the club in the UEFA Champions League, European Cup and memorably in the UEFA Cup against A.C. Milan, AC Milan in 1975. Noel describes his experience of playing at the famed San Siro (stadium), San Siro: "It was some experience," said Noel, who was only 19 at the time. Athlone
Athlone (; ) is a town on the border of County Roscommon and County Westmeath, Ireland. It is located on the River Shannon near the southern shore of Lough Ree. It is the second most populous town in the Midlands Region with a population of 21,349 in the 2016 census. Most of the town lies on the east bank of the river, within the townland of the same name; however, by the terms of the Local Government Act of 1898, six townlands on the west bank of the Shannon, formerly in County Roscommon, were incorporated into the town, and consequently, into the county of Westmeath. Glenmalure Park
Glenmalure Park, often simply known as Milltown, was a football stadium on the Southside of Dublin city in Ireland. Located in the suburb of Milltown, it was home to Shamrock Rovers from 1926 to 1987, when it was sold to property developers by the club's directors. It is now a housing estate called Glenmalure Square. Ringsend to Milltown Shamrock Rovers moved from the inner city area of Ringsend in the early 20th century to the then semi-rural suburb of Milltown. In Milltown, Rovers secured a long-term lease of land from the Jesuit Order, who were based in the area. The club's ground there was largely built by their supporters, who constructed the main stand and banked the areas on the other three sides. Cockburn City Soccer Club is an Australian soccer club currently playing in the National Premier Leagues Western Australia. They play their home games at Dalmatinac Park and train at Beale Park. History Cockburn City Soccer Club's origin goes back to 1929 when they were known as Spearwood Rovers, and after the 1964 season they amalgamated with Britannia (who had renamed a year earlier from Fremantle City) to become Cockburn United. A few months earlier, some of the Spearwood Rovers club had joined forces with Balkans Dalmatinac, to create Fremantle Dalmatinac (who were renamed Spearwood Dalmatinac in 1974).
