''No Need to Argue'' is the second studio album by Irish alternative rock band the Cranberries, released on 3 October 1994. It is the band's best selling album, and has sold 17 million copies worldwide as of 2014. It contains the band's most successful single, "Zombie". The album's mood is darker and harsher than that on ''Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?'', released a year before. Composition In some of the songs, the band decided to take on a rockier and heavier side, using distortion and increasing the volume. The song "Yeats' Grave" – incorrectly listed on the album as "Yeat's Grave" and never corrected for any of the album's physical re-releases – is about William Butler Yeats, and quotes one of his poems, ''No Second Troy''. The O'Riordan written track "Zombie" is, according to her, about the Warrington IRA bombings in 1993 that resulted in the death of two children. ''To the Faithful Departed'' is the third studio album by Irish alternative rock band the Cranberries, released on 30 April 1996. The album was made in memory of Denny Cordell who signed the band to Island Records and Joe O'Riordan (vocalist Dolores O'Riordan's grandfather), who had both died that year. The album reached number one in four countries and became the band's highest-charting album on the US ''Billboard'' 200, where it peaked at number four. Packaging The album sleeve photo session was made up of two parts, the first being the original design for the front cover, a naked baby boy (supplied by their press officer Smash at Island Records) lying on his back, which was shot in photographer Andy Earl's new studio on Shad Thames in London, and the band seated in a yellow room. Supergrass are an English rock band formed in 1993 in Oxford. For the majority of the band's tenure, the line-up consisted of brothers Gaz (lead vocals, guitar) and Rob Coombes (keyboards), Mick Quinn (bass, backing vocals) and Danny Goffey (drums, backing vocals). Originally a three-piece, Rob Coombes officially joined the band in 2002. "Alright" is a song by British alternative rock band Supergrass. It was released with "Time" as a double A-side single from their debut album, ''I Should Coco'' (1995), on 3 July 1995. It was concurrently released on the soundtrack of the 1995 movie ''Clueless'', which helped it become a big hit for the band. It peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart, number six in Iceland, number eight in Ireland, number 30 in France and number 96 in Australia. It is the band's most successful single on the charts. Music and lyrics "Alright" received a great deal of airplay in the United Kingdom. Blur are an English rock band formed in London in 1988. The band consists of singer Damon Albarn, guitarist Graham Coxon, bassist Alex James and drummer Dave Rowntree. Dalkey Island
Dalkey Island ( ) is an island for which the nearby village of Dalkey is named ( ga, Oileán Dheilginse meaning "thorn island", with ''ey'' the Old Norse (Viking) version of "island"). Warrington Bombings
The Warrington bombings were two separate bomb attacks that took place during early 1993 in Warrington, Cheshire, England. The first attack happened on 26 February, when a bomb exploded at a gas storage facility. This first explosion caused extensive damage, but no injuries. While fleeing the scene, the bombers shot and injured a police officer and two of the bombers were caught following a high-speed car chase. The second attack happened on 20 March, when two smaller bombs exploded in litter bins outside shops and businesses on Bridge Street. Two children were killed and a total of 56 people were injured. The attacks were carried out by the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA). William Butler Yeats
William Butler Yeats (13 June 186528 January 1939) was an Irish poet, dramatist, writer and one of the foremost figures of 20th-century literature. He was a driving force behind the Irish Literary Revival and became a pillar of the Irish literary establishment who helped to found the Abbey Theatre.
