No More Mr. Nice Guy (song)
"No More Mr. Nice Guy" is a song by American rock band Alice Cooper, released in 1973 as a single off their sixth studio album ''Billion Dollar Babies'' (1973). The single reached No. 25 on the US charts and No. 10 on the UK charts, and helped ''Billion Dollar Babies'' to reach No. 1 in both the UK and the US. The song was written by Michael Bruce and Alice Cooper. Cooper wrote the song lyrics about the reactions of his mother's church group to his stage performances, saying that there were worse things that he could do with his life, and that the "gloves were off now." The song was re-recorded and featured in the video game '' Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock'', ''The Simpsons'' episode " Love Is a Many Strangled Thing", and the '' Family Guy'' episode " Mom's the Word". The song was used in the TV show ''Ash vs Evil Dead'' and in the film '' Dazed and Confused''. The scene featuring the song in the latter film was later parodied on '' Family Guy'' in the episode " Jungle Love". ...

Alice Cooper (band)
Alice Cooper (also known as the Alice Cooper Group or the Alice Cooper Band) was an American rock band formed in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1964. The band consisted of lead singer Vince Furnier (stage name Alice Cooper), Glen Buxton (lead guitar), Michael Bruce (rhythm guitar, keyboards), Dennis Dunaway (bass guitar), and Neal Smith (drums). Furnier legally changed his name to Alice Cooper and has had a solo career under that name since the band became inactive in 1975. The band was notorious for their elaborate, theatrical shock rock stage shows. In 2011, the original Alice Cooper band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. After years of obscurity in the 1960s, the Alice Cooper band rose to fame in 1971 with the hit single "I'm Eighteen" and the album '' Love It to Death''. Success continued with the popular single " School's Out" and the album of the same name in 1972. The band peaked in popularity in 1973 with their next album ''Billion Dollar Babies'' and its tour, ...

The Beast Of Alice Cooper
Alice Cooper (born Vincent Damon Furnier, February 4, 1948) is an American rock singer whose career spans over five decades. With a raspy voice and a stage show that features numerous props and stage illusions, including pyrotechnics, guillotines, electric chairs, fake blood, reptiles, baby dolls, and dueling swords, Cooper is considered by many music journalists and peers to be "The Godfather of Shock Rock". He has drawn equally from horror films, vaudeville, and garage rock to pioneer a macabre and theatrical brand of rock designed to shock audiences. Originating in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1964, "Alice Cooper" was originally a band with roots extending back to a band called the Earwigs, consisting of Furnier on vocals and harmonica, Glen Buxton on lead guitar, and Dennis Dunaway on bass guitar and backing vocals. By 1966, Michael Bruce on rhythm guitar joined the three and Neal Smith was added on drums in 1967. The five named the band "Alice Cooper", and Furnier eventually ...

Greatest Hits (Alice Cooper Album)
''Alice Cooper's Greatest Hits'' is the only greatest hits album by American rock band Alice Cooper, and their last release as a band. Released in 1974, it features hit songs from five of the band's seven studio albums. It does not include any material from their first two albums, ''Pretties for You'' and '' Easy Action''. This compilation's song versions were remixed by Jack Richardson at the time, with the remix of "I'm Eighteen" being released as a single in the US. The reason behind remixing the songs was perhaps to boost its appeal as "new" versions because no new tracks were available for inclusion by the group as they were on hiatus at the time. This compilation was expanded upon when, in 2001, Rhino released '' Mascara & Monsters: The Best of Alice Cooper'', which includes the original single versions of the songs in addition to a number of Cooper's post-1974 hits as a solo artist, filling up the entire CD. Artwork The album's cover art was designed by Ernie Cefalu and ...

Slash plays guitar for part of the album (returning the favor after Cooper guested on " The Garden" from the 1991 Guns N' Roses album ''Use Your Illusion I'') and Cooper says before the song "Desperado" that it was written about Jim Morrison, who died in 1971, the same year Cooper wrote the song. Also featured in the album are Rob Zombie on vocals and Sammy Hagar on guitar. The only song from the show that has not been commercially released is the title track from 1991's ''Hey Stoopid''. Classic rock is a US radio format which developed from the album-oriented rock (AOR) format in the early 1980s. In the United States, the classic rock format comprises rock music ranging generally from the mid-1960s through the mid 1990s, primarily focusing on commercially successful blues rock and hard rock popularized in the 1970s AOR format.Pareles, Jon (June 18, 1986)"Oldies on Rise in Album-Rock Radio" ''The New York Times''. Retrieved April 19, 2019. The radio format became increasingly popular with the baby boomer demographic by the end of the 1990s. Although classic rock has mostly appealed to adult listeners, music associated with this format received more exposure with younger listeners with the presence of the Internet and digital downloading. Some classic rock stations also play a limited number of current releases which are stylistically consistent with the station's sound, or by heritage acts which are still active and producing new music."New York Radio Guide: Ra ...
