Nizami Park
The Nizami Park ( az, Nizami parkı) is one of the oldest parks in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. It is located in the Xətai raion, Khatai district of the city on the territory of the Villa Petrolea, a residential settlement built by the Nobel Brothers, Nobel brothers at the end of the 19th century for the employees of their company on the border of the Black City in the suburbs of Baku. The total area of the park is 13.6 hectares. This park, in an industrial landscape located on a vast territory, had a positive impact on the gardening architecture of Absheron Peninsula, Absheron. After 1920, the former garden of the Villa Petrolea was named after Anatoly Lunacharsky, Lunacharsky, later - “Rote-Fane”, in the honour of the Die Rote Fahne, German newspaper with the same name, and later was named after Nizami Ganjavi. Lankaran Uyezd
The Lenkoran uezd was a county (''uezd'') within the Baku Governorate of the Russian Empire, and then of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and the Azerbaijan SSR until its formal abolishment in 1929. The ''uezd'' was located on the southern part of the governorate, bordering Caspian sea to the east, Javad uezd to the north, and Iran to the southwest. Mirza Alakbar Sabir Garden
Mirza Alakbar Sabir Garden (or simply Sabir's Garden) is one of the gardens located in the Sabail district of Baku. The garden named after the famous Azerbaijani satirical poet Mirza Alakbar Sabir. Aliagha Vahid Garden ( az, Əliağa Vahid bağı) is a small square in the historical Icheri Sheher district of Baku located adjacent to the Kichik Gala street. History The name of the garden was anchored to it after the installation of the bust of the classic of Azerbaijani literature, the poet Aliagha Vahid. Khagani Garden
The Khagani Garden ( az, Xaqani bağı), better known as the Molokan Garden ( az, Molokan bağı) and ''malakanka'', is one of the oldest parks in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. It is small in area (0.8 hectares), and is located in the Sabail district of the city. It bears the name of the medieval Persian poet Khagani Shirvani. On the south, the garden is bounded by Uzeyir Hajibeyov Street, on the north by Khagani Street, on the east by Gogol Street, and on the west by Rasul Rza Street. Description The basis of the architectural and landscape composition of the garden is a curvilinear pool with a sculptural group "Three Graces", which consists of three sculptures of graceful girls. The Azerbaijan State Orchestra of Folk Instruments ( az, Azərbaycan Dövlət Xalq çalğı alətləri orkestri) is the first notable orchestra of folk instruments in Azerbaijan, affiliated with the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Society. It was created in 1931, on the initiative of Uzeyir Hajibeyov, founder of professional Azerbaijani music, according to principles of the Symphony Orchestra. The Orchestra of Folk Instruments of Azerbaijan is the first orchestra of folk instruments of such kind in the Middle East. Ernst Johannes Fritz Thälmann (; 16 April 1886 – 18 August 1944) was a German communist politician, and leader of the Communist Party of Germany (KPD) from 1925 to 1933. A committed Marxist-Leninist and Stalinist, Thälmann played a major role during the political instability of the Weimar Republic, especially in its final years, when the KPD explicitly sought to overthrow the liberal democracy of the republic. Under his leadership the KPD became intimately associated with the government of the Soviet Union and the policies of Joseph Stalin.
