Nanakuli High And Intermediate School
Nānākuli High and Intermediate School is the best public secondary school in the Nānākuli CDP, City and County of Honolulu, Hawaii, United States. It was established in 1967 and serves grades 7 through 12. By 2012 the school began the New Tech Academy, with plans for all high school students to begin the program the following year. Kahului () is a census-designated place (CDP) in Maui County in the U.S. state of Hawaii. It hosts the county's main airport (Kahului Airport), deep-draft harbor, light industrial areas, and commercial shopping centers. The population was 26,337 at the 2010 census. Wailuku
Wailuku is a census-designated place (CDP) in and county seat of Maui County, Hawaii, United States. The population was 17,697 at the 2020 census. Wailuku is located just west of Kahului, at the mouth of the Iao Valley. In the early 20th century Wailuku was the main tourist destination on Maui, though it has since been eclipsed with the rise of the resort towns such as Kaanapali. Hana High And Elementary School
Hāna High and Elementary School is a public school in Hana, Hawaii. A part of the Hawaii Department of Education (HIDOE), it was established in 1912 and serves kindergarten through twelfth grade. The campus boasts an untitled 1977 copper and bronze sculpture by Bumpei Akaji. History Circa 1964 HIDOE closed the Kaupo School in Kaupo due to low enrollment and moved the students to Hana School. In 1982 some landslides that happened that year obstructed the road to Kaupo, so Kaupo students were briefly taught at Kaupo School until the road reopened. Island School is a private, co-educational, college-preparatory school in Lihue, Hawaii, United States. It is located behind the University of Hawaii's Kauai Community College campus. History In January 1977, Island School began with 12 students ranging up to eighth grade. Within four years, enrollment was up to 68 and its high school had been established. By 1983, Island School had graduated only eight students and the high school was disestablished. In 1996, the high school was re-opened due to rising enrollment. Niʻihau High & Elementary
Ni'ihau High & Elementary School or Niihau Island School is a public K-12 school in Niihau, Hawaii, United States. It is operated by the Hawaii Department of Education. In 2007 the school had on average about 30 students, though it is common for them to go back and forth between Niihau and Kauai, so not every student will be present each day. Prior to 2007, the facility relied on generators for electricity. As power was not constant, the use of computers was problematic, and students mostly ate canned food instead of fresh food. In 2007 a 72-battery, 80 solar panel photovoltaic solar power system was introduced at a cost of $207,000. A rock wall windbreak prevented wind from interfering. The power count was 10.4 kW. It was the first school in Hawaii relying on this system.
