''Red Carpet Massacre'' is the twelfth studio album by English New wave music, new wave band Duran Duran, released on 13 November 2007 by Epic Records. Most of the music on the final incarnation of the album was completed in late 2006 following the departure of band member Andy Taylor (guitarist), Andy Taylor with new guitarist Dominic Brown replacing him, when record producer Timbaland began working with the band. "Falling Down (Duran Duran song), Falling Down" was the only single released from the album. ''Red Carpet Massacre'' debuted at number 44 on the UK Albums Chart, becoming the band's second lowest-debuting album on the chart, after ''Pop Trash'' (2000). The album debuted at number 36 on the US Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200, selling 29,000 copies in its first week. The following week, it fell to number 116. Duran Duran () are an English Rock music, rock band formed in Birmingham in 1978 by singer and bassist Stephen Duffy, keyboardist Nick Rhodes and guitarist/bassist John Taylor (bass guitarist), John Taylor. With the addition of drummer Roger Taylor (Duran Duran drummer), Roger Taylor the following year the band went through numerous personnel changes before May 1980, when they settled on their most famous line-up by adding guitarist Andy Taylor (guitarist), Andy Taylor and lead vocalist Simon Le Bon. The Hammerstein Ballroom is a ballroom located within the Manhattan Center at 311 West 34th Street in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The capacity of the ballroom is dependent on the configuration of the room; it seats 2,500 people for theatrical productions and musical performances, and several thousand for events held within a central ring. Simon John Charles Le Bon (born 27 October 1958) is a British singer. He is best known as the lead vocalist and lyricist of the new wave band Duran Duran and its offshoot Arcadia. ''Reportage'' is the working title of an unfinished album that English new wave band Duran Duran wrote and recorded as the intended follow-up to their 2004 reunion album '' Astronaut''. After the departure of original guitarist Andy Taylor in 2006, the band decided to start over with a new batch of songs that became 2007's ''Red Carpet Massacre''. The making of ''Reportage'' In Andy's 2008 autobiography, ''Wild Boy: My Life in Duran Duran'', he revealed that the band had originally been offered the opportunity to record their next album "aboard a 450 millionsuperyacht owned by Paul Allen... but sadly the plan fell through at the last minute due to the boat becoming unavailable." Roger Andrew Taylor (born 26 April 1960) is an English musician, best known as the drummer of the new wave band Duran Duran from their inception until 1985, and again from 2001 onwards. Michael Patterson is an American record producer and mixer. He has worked on the albums ''Midnite Vultures'' (1999) by Beck (where he was nominated for a Grammy award), ''Life After Death'' (1997) by Notorious B.I.G., the debut album by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, '' B.R.M.C.''
