''Nirvana'' is a debut extended play (EP) by English singer Sam Smith. It was released in the United Kingdom as a digital download on 4 October 2013. The EP includes an acoustic version of Disclosure's "Latch". "Safe with Me" peaked at number 86 and "Nirvana" peaked at number 82 on the UK Singles Chart in October 2013. Background The EP contains four tracks. The first, titled "Safe with Me", is produced by Two Inch Punch and premiered on MistaJam's BBC Radio 1Xtra show on 24 July 2013. Carl Lundgren (born July 12, 1947) is an American artist and illustrator, primarily known for his 1960s-era rock posters and fantasy art. Career Born on July 12, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan, Lundgren had an early interest in becoming a fantasy artist and illustrator like Frank Frazetta, his idol. At the age of 18, he was co-chairman of the first multimedia science fiction convention, The Detroit Triple Fan Fair, featuring comics, movies and science fiction. He studied with the Famous Artists School correspondence course, for formal training. In 1967 Lundgren met rock poster artist Gary Grimshaw, who was illustrating posters for a Detroit rock venue, run by Russ Gibb, called the Grande Ballroom. The Childrens Choir of Elbosco was the name of a joint Spanish musical group that achieved world success with the song "Nirvana" in 1995. The group consisted of the boys choral group of the Escolanía del Real Monasterio of San Lorenzo, with boys between 9 and 14 years old along with adult instrumentalists and soloists. In 1995, the group released the disk Angelis, with the hit song Nirvana which was used by Danny Boyle in the film '' Millions''.
