Nir Kabaretti
Nir Kabaretti (Hebrew: ניר קברטי) (born February 5, 1968 in Holon) is an Israeli orchestra conductor. Kabaretti is Music Director of the Santa Barbara Symphony in California since 2006 and the Southwest Florida Symphony Orchestra since 2015. In 2018 he was appointed Music Director of The Israel Sinfonietta Beersheba. Early career Kabaretti made his conducting debut with the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion in 1993. Upon graduation from the prestigious University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Kabaretti was appointed chorus master of the Vienna State Opera and the Salzburg Festival. He served as assistant to the music director of Teatro Real in Madrid, and as Zubin Mehta’s personal assistant and conductor at Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. In 2004, Kabaretti made his Teatro alla Scala di Milano debut in Tchaikowsky’s The Nutcracker, and in 2007 he returned to La Scala for Mendelssohn’s Ballet Midsummer Night’s Dream. Beersheba
Beersheba or Beer Sheva, officially Be'er-Sheva ( he, בְּאֵר שֶׁבַע, ''Bəʾēr Ševaʿ'', ; ar, بئر السبع, Biʾr as-Sabʿ, Well of the Oath or Well of the Seven), is the largest city in the Negev desert of southern Israel. Often referred to as the "Capital of the Negev", it is the centre of the fourth-most populous metropolitan area in Israel, the eighth-most populous Israeli city with a population of , and the second-largest city in area (after Jerusalem), with a total area of 117,500 dunams. The Biblical site of Beersheba is Tel Be'er Sheva, lying some 4 km distant from the modern city, which was established at the start of the 20th century by the Ottoman Turks.
