Ninon Dubois Le Clerc
Ninon Dubois Le Clerc or Ninon Leclaire (1750 in France - 4 May 1779, Stockholm), was a French ballerina and courtesan. She was a member of the Royal Swedish Ballet and regarded as one of the stars of the royal ballet during her career there. As a courtesan she was known for her relationship with the Russian ambassador Ivan Simolin and the poet Johan Henric Kellgren Johan Henrik Kellgren (1 December 1751 – 20 April 1795) was a Swedish poet and critic. Royal Swedish Ballet
The Royal Swedish Ballet is one of the oldest ballet companies in Europe. Based in Stockholm, Sweden, King Gustav III founded the ballet in 1773 as a part of his national cultural project in response to the French and Italian dominance in this field; he also founded the Royal Swedish Opera and the Royal Dramatic Theatre. All of these were initially located in the old theatre of Bollhuset. The troupe was founded with the opening of the Royal Swedish Opera, which has served as its home since that time. History In 1773, the cultural professions of acting, opera-singing and ballet-dancing in Sweden were all performed by foreign troupes. The first ballet performance was performed at the Swedish court when the French ballet troupe of Antoine de Beaulieu was hired at the court of Queen Christina in 1638, and the first Public ballet performance were performed by the foreign theatre troupes at the theatre of Bollhuset later the same century. Ivan Simolin
Johann Matthias, Freiherr von Simolin (b. July 17, 1720 in Turku – d. September 19, 1799 in Vienna), brother of Carl Gustav von Simolin, was envoy of Empress Catherine the Great, Catherine II at the Perpetual Diet of Regensburg, Imperial Diet of Regensburg. He then went to Copenhagen as minister plenipotentiary, was then accredited as ambassador in Stockholm in 1777, and worked here through secret connections on the insurrection of Finland under Swedish rule, Finland. In 1780 he went to London as ambassador and in 1786 to Paris. Here he presented Queen Marie Antoinette June 5, 1791 under the name of a Mrs. v. Korff issued a passport, as a result of which he lost a significant part of his fortune. Retired from business, he later lived for several years in Frankfurt, Frankfurt am Main, until he was called back to Russia as President of the State Judicial Collegium. Johan Henric Kellgren
Johan Henrik Kellgren (1 December 1751 – 20 April 1795) was a Swedish poet and critic. Biography He was born at Floby in Västergötland (now part of Falköping Municipality, Västra Götaland County). He studied at the Royal Academy of Turku, and already had some reputation as a poet when he became a "docent" in aesthetics at the school in 1774. Three years later he moved to Stockholm, where in 1778 he began publishing the journal " Stockholms-Posten" with Assessor . Kellgren was sole editor from 1788 onwards. In 1779, he wrote a poem portraying the young and popular actress Ulrica Rosenblad's funeral, a verse quoted in the press. Kellgren was librarian to Gustavus III from 1780, and became his private secretary in 1785. At the establishment of the Swedish Academy in 1786 he was appointed one of its first members.
