''Nine Reasons to Say Goodbye'' is an album by the rock band A Day in the Life. It was released in 2001 and is the only album by the band under the A Day in the Life name before their name change to Hawthorne Heights. It features their entire original lineup. It was re-released in 2005 by Carbon Copy Media with a second disc that contains songs by 4 other bands who were signed to Carbon Copy Media, plus two other songs by A Day in the Life. The album cover is lead vocalist JT Woodruff taking a selfie in a bathroom mirror. A Day In The Life (band)
Hawthorne Heights, formerly A Day in the Life, is an American Rock music, rock band from Dayton, Ohio, formed in 2001. Their lineup currently consists of JT Woodruff (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Matt Ridenour (bass guitar, backing vocals), Mark McMillon (lead guitar, unclean backing vocals), and Chris Popadak (drums, percussion). On November 24, 2007, rhythm guitarist and unclean backing vocalist Casey Calvert died, leaving the band as a four-piece. In June 2014 it was announced the departure of original drummer Eron Bucciarelli. On January 20, 2015, it was announced that Micah Carli (lead guitar, unclean backing vocals) had left the band as well. The band found success with both of their first two albums, their 2004 release, ''The Silence in Black and White'', and their 2006 album, ''If Only You Were Lonely'', both achieving RIAA certification, Gold certification. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. A selfie () is a self-portrait photograph, typically taken with a digital camera or smartphone, which may be held in the hand or supported by a selfie stick. Selfies are often shared on social media, via social networking services such as Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and Instagram. They are often casual in nature (or made to appear casual). Ellison (band)
Ellison is an Indie rock, indie Rock music, rock Musical ensemble, band from Cincinnati, Ohio, signed to Carbon Copy Media. What started as a recording project quickly manifested into a full band operation. In 2005 they released their first Extended play, EP titled "Indecisive and Halfhearted," and in 2006 their first full-length CD, "Say Goodnight, Sleep Alone." History Josh Hill, a local songwriter, attempted to follow up his 2002 acoustic release “No More Words” with a series of songs with full band arrangements. High School friend Mitch Wyatt teamed up with Josh to produce a three song demo that would form the basis of what was then known as The Josh Hill Band. After playing a few shows with stand-in musicians, the two quickly realized the potential of a collective band. Asteria (band)
Asteria is an American pop/rock band from Crown Point, Indiana. History Asteria formed in 2003 at Crown Point High School and began playing local shows, building a strong regional following. Their name was chosen by drummer Sam Henderson from a gardening book; it is an alteration of the word wisteria. After releasing their first album, 2004's ''Broken-Hearted Lullabies And Hope-Filled Dreams'', they played at the Indiana Region Rumble in 2004 and won a number of regional awards that year.
