Nine Lies
Nine Lies are a Northern Irish rock band from Belfast. Formed in 2003, the group consists of Stevie Mann (vocals, lyrics and production), Dave Kernohan (guitar and vocals), Nick Black (guitars), Stephen 'Stoogie' McAuley (drums) and John Rossi (bass guitar, keyboards and vocals). John started his professional career in the late 1990s playing keyboards for another Irish rock band Snow Patrol. Nine Lies' early sound was rooted in post-Brit Pop but eventually grew to incorporate influences from many genres of popular music. Throughout the group's musical pursuits, they have maintained a sound built on melodic instrumentals. Their lyrics, often embellished with spiritual imagery, focus on personal themes and sociopolitical concerns. Stephen Patrick Mann (born 20 February 1976 in Belfast, Northern Ireland) is an Irish singer-songwriter and Music Producer, who is known for being the lead singer of rock band Nine Lies. He is second cousin to fellow Irish singer songwriter Damien Rice. Personal life Mann was born and grew up on the Falls Road in Belfast. He has described in public the violence of The Troubles, during his childhood and teen years. Music career Mann came to prominence with his band Nine Lies, appearing on a string of recordings including "Someone" (2010), "Damn", and their Christmas charity single for the RNLI "Tragedy" in 2012. Recording Recording on the album started in 2010 on location in Belfast and included the track someone which was to be the first of two singles released prior to the album and Save Me which was mixed by American producer Beau Hill who worked previously with Alice Cooper, Kix and Winger. The sessions later moved to Blast Furnace studios in Derry where the band were joined by legendary English record producer Stuart Epps and the tracks 'Damn' and 'Don't ask if I'm alone' were born. Sugababes are a British girl group composed of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhán Donaghy. The lineup changed three times before returning to the original lineup in 2011. Formed in 1998 by All Saints manager Ron Tom, Sugababes released their debut album '' One Touch'' through London Records in November 2000, which achieved moderate success and produced the top-ten single " Overload".
