Nina Baden-Semper
Nina Baden-Semper (born 1945) is a Trinidad and Tobago-born British actress best known for her role as Barbie Reynolds in the 1970s sitcom ''Love Thy Neighbour'', produced by Thames Television. Career Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Baden-Semper was a dancer when she first came to Britain before going on to act. In an acting career that spans more than 40 years, Baden-Semper has appeared in numerous radio, television, film and theatre productions and has toured worldwide in many plays. She has played varied stage roles in dramatic works that range from ''The Bacchae'' by Euripides, ''Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme'' by Molière and '' The Blacks'' by Jean Genet to modern thrillers such as ''Wait Until Dark'' and '' Stepping Out'', as well as comedy roles. ''Love Thy Neighbour'' is a British television sitcom that was broadcast from 13 April 1972 until 22 January 1976. The show spanned eight series, lasted for 53 episodes (plus an unaired pilot) and was produced by Thames Television for the ITV network. The principal cast consists of Jack Smethurst, Rudolph Walker, Nina Baden-Semper, and Kate Williams. In 1973, the series was adapted into a film of the same name, and a later sequel series was set in Australia. ''Love Thy Neighbour'' is a 1973 British comedy film starring Jack Smethurst, Rudolph Walker, Kate Williams and Nina Baden-Semper, spun off from the television series ''Love Thy Neighbour''. It also marked the last regular film appearance of James Beck as Cyril, prior to his sudden death on 6 August of that year. The Florence Nightingale Museum is located at St Thomas' Hospital, which faces the Palace of Westminster across the River Thames in South Bank, central London, England. It is open to the public five days a week, Wednesday to Sunday 10:00am until 5:00pm (last entry at 4:30pm).
