Nils Johan Ringdal
Nils Johan Ringdal (6 March 1952 – 11 September 2008) was a Norwegian author and historian, known mostly for his works on Norwegian occupation history and Norwegian cultural history, and for his controversial book "''Nationaltheaterets Historie 1899-1999''" ''(The History of the National Theater 1899-1999)''. Ringdal had been living in various countries in Southeast Asia since 1988, along with his domestic partner Georg Petersen. Georg Petersen
Georg Petersen (2 October 1820 – 20 December 1900) was a Danish businessman. He owned the building at Nyhavn 63 in Copenhagen. Early life and education Petersen was born on 2 October 1820, the son of wholesale merchant Friedrich Erasmi Petersen (1783–1864) and Wilhelmine Caroline Langreuter (1787–1848). His father had bought the property Nyhavn 63 in 1817. The family belonged to the city's German congregation at St. Peter's Church. Petersen received a good commercial education in his father's firm F. P. Petersen as well as in a large trading firm in Hamburg. Career Petersen was created a partner in his father's firm in 1846. In 1864, he became its sole owner. The firm traded in grain, Swedish iron and products from Iceland. It was one of the most respected of its kind in Copenhagen. ''Dagsavisen'' is a daily newspaper published in Oslo, Norway. The former party organ of the Norwegian Labour Party, the ties loosened over time from 1975 to 1999. It has borne several names, and was called ''Arbeiderbladet'' from 1923 to 1997. Eirik Hoff Lysholm is editor-in-chief. The newspaper depends on economic support from the Norwegian Government. History ''Dagsavisen'' was established by Christian Holtermann Knudsen in 1884 under the name ''Vort Arbeide'' ('Our Work' in archaic Riksmål), and was affiliated with the trade union center ''Fagforeningernes Centralkomité''. Holtermann Knudsen also had to establish his own printing press since the existing printing presses did not want to be affiliated with a labourer's newspaper.
