Nils Eekhoff (born 23 January 1998) is a Dutch cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career In August 2019, Eekhoff joined UCI WorldTeam as a stagiaire for the second half of the season, before joining the team permanently in 2020. At the under 23 road race of the 2019 UCI Road World Championships, Eekhoff initially won the race, but was later disqualified for illegal drafting behind a team car. The ''Union Cycliste Internationale'' (UCI; ; en, International Cycling Union) is the world governing body for sports cycling and oversees international competitive cycling events. 2019 European Road Championships
The 2019 European Road Cycling Championships was the 25th running of the European Road Cycling Championships, that took place from 7 to 11 August 2019 in Alkmaar, the Netherlands. The event consisted of a total of 6 road races and 7 time trials, including the introduction of the new mixed team relay, regulated by the Union Européenne de Cyclisme (UEC). Location The organization was initially awarded to Annecy, France, but the organisers there wanted different dates due to the busy tourism season in August and eventually returned the assignment. The UEC then asked the Dutch province of Drenthe to organise the European Championships, after their bid to organize the World Championships was rejected. In January there were several Dutch cities in the running, of which one fell after the other. The 2021 Tour de France was the 108th edition of the Tour de France, one of cycling's three grand tours. Originally planned for the Danish capital of Copenhagen, the start of the 2021 Tour (known as the ) was transferred to Brest because of the COVID-19 pandemic, with Copenhagen hosting four matches in the UEFA Euro 2020, which had also been rescheduled to 2021 because of the pandemic. Originally scheduled for 2 to 25 July 2021, the Tour was moved to 26 June to 18 July 2021 to avoid the rescheduled 2020 Summer Olympics. The general classification is the most important classification, the one by which the winner of the Tour de France is determined. General Classification In The Giro D'Italia
The general classification in the Giro d'Italia is the most important classification of the Giro d'Italia, which determines who is the overall winner. It is therefore considered more important than secondary classifications as the points classification or the mountains classification. Since 1931, the leader of the general classification is identified by a pink jersey ( it, maglia rosa ). Prior to that year and since the creation of the race, no colour was used to distinguish the winner at the top of the classification. In road bicycle racing, a Grand Tour is one of the three major European professional cycling stage races: Giro d'Italia, Tour de France, and Vuelta a España. Collectively they are termed the ''Grand Tours'', and all three races are similar in format, being three-week races with daily stages. They have a special status in the UCI regulations: more points for the UCI World Tour are distributed in Grand Tours than in other races, and they are the only stage races allowed to last longer than 14 days. Ronde van Drenthe ( en, Tour of Drenthe) is an elite men's and women's professional road bicycle racing event held annually in the Drenthe, Netherlands and sanctioned by the Royal Dutch Cycling Union. The 2021 Boucles de la Mayenne () was the 46th edition of the Boucles de la Mayenne road cycling stage race, which took place between 27 and 30 May 2021 in the Mayenne department in northwestern France. The 2020 Bretagne Classic Ouest–France was a road cycling one-day race that took place on 25 August 2020 in France. It was the 84th edition of Bretagne Classic Ouest–France and the 11th event of the 2020 UCI World Tour. Teams Twenty-five teams, including all 19 UCI WorldTour teams and six UCI Professional Continental teams, were scheduled to participate in the race.
