Nikos Papadopoulos (football Manager)
Nikos Papadopoulos ( el, Νίκος Παπαδόπουλος; born 5 October 1971) is a Greek professional football manager and former player, who is the current manager of Greece national U21 team. He is mostly remembered for his 9.5-year spell in OFI. He has also played for Aris, Skoda Xanthi and Apollon Kalamarias in the top tier. In the later stages of his career he played in several clubs in the lower divisions. As a manager, he has coached several clubs in Greece and Cyprus. Playing career After playing youth football, for the club of his village, Apollon Mavroneriou, he moved to nearby professional club Kilkisiakos in 1988. He moved to OFI in the winter transfer window of 1989-1990. In his first season, he was part of the squad that reached the Greek Cup final, although he did not participate in the final. Kilkis
Kilkis ( el, Κιλκίς) is a city in Central Macedonia, Greece. As of 2011 there were 22,914 people living in the city proper, 28,745 people living in the municipal unit, and 51,926 in the municipality of Kilkis. The team captain of an association football team, sometimes known as the skipper, is a team member chosen to be the on-pitch leader of the team; they are often one of the older or more experienced members of the squad, or a player that can heavily influence a game or has good leadership qualities.
