Nikos Christodoulides
Nikos Christodoulides (born 6 December 1973) is a Cypriot politician, who served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2018 to 2022 and Spokesperson of the Government from 2014 to 2018. Prior to entering politics, he was an academic and career diplomat. Christodoulides resigned from the second Anastasiades government in January 2022 amidst speculation that he would run for President in 2023 without the blessing of his DISY party. In June, he confirmed that he would run for President as an independent and has since been endorsed by the smaller DIKO and EDEK parties. Nikolaos "Nikos" Chatzis (alternative spelling: Hatzis) ( el, Νίκος Χατζής; born 3 June 1976) is a retired Greek professional basketball player and coach. At a height of 1.96 m (6 ft 5 in) tall, he played at the shooting guard position. He is among the all-time leaders in the history of the Greek Basket League in points scored, assists, 3 pointers made, and games played (since the 1992–93 season). Nikos Hadjikyriakos-Ghikas
Nikos Hadjikyriakos-Ghikas (; February 26, 1906 – September 3, 1994), also known as Niko Ghika, was a leading Greek painter, sculptor, engraver, writer and academic. He was a founding member of the Association of Greek Art Critics, AICA-Hellas, International Association of Art Critics. He studied ancient and Byzantine art as well as folk art due to his adoration for the Greek landscape. During his youth he was exposed in Paris to the avant-garde European artistic trends and he gained recognition as the leading Greek cubist artist. His aim was to focus on the harmony and purity of Greek art and to deconstruct the Greek landscape and intense natural light into simple geometric shapes and interlocking planes. His works are featured in the National Gallery (Athens), the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, the Tate Gallery in London, the Metropolitan Museum of New York and in private collections worldwide. Nikos Gounaris
Nikos Gounaris ( el, Νίκος Γούναρης; Zagora, 1915 – 5 May 1965 in Athens) was a Greek tenor who was enormously popular as a "pop" singer in the 1950s. Biography Gounaris began playing the mandolin at the age of four. He attended the musical Conservatory of Music in Athens. Gounaris was a Greek elafró singer and among the foremost Greek composers and musicians of the 1950s and 1960s. He was especially popular in the Greek community in America. A great deal of his entertainment was at two Greek resorts in the Catskills in upstate NY, the Sunset and the Monte Carlo. He mainly sang about the sad side of love, and betrayed lovers. Hit songs included "Ena vradi pou 'vrehe," "Glikia mou matia agapimena," and "Omorfi Athina". He composed about 400 songs and played with the Trio Bel Canto during the 1960s.
