Nikolina Kovačić
Nikolina Kovačić (born April 30, 1986) is a Croatian volleyball player. She played with the national team the 2011 European Championships finishing in the 5th place. She two times played the CEV Champions League and the Top Teams Cup, and five with the CEV Cup with Croatian club ŽOK Rijeka. Kovačić won the Croatian League three times and five times the Croatian Cup, all with ŽOK Rijeka. Personal information Kovačić is tall , born on April 30, 1986, in Rijeka (then SR Croatia, SFR Yugoslavia). She earned a Master's degree in Management from University of Rijeka's Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management. Career 1997-2008 Kovačić played with the Croatian club in her native city ŽOK Rijeka from 1997 to 2000 in second division, then played from 2000 to 2008 the top Croatian volleyball category with the same club. Bulgaria Women's National Volleyball Team
The Bulgaria women's national volleyball team represents Bulgaria in international women's volleyball competitions and is controlled by the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation. The team's successes includes winning the Balkan Championship in 1982, and runners-up at the 1970 Summer Universidade along with bronze at the 1980 Summer Olympics. 2011 Women's European Volleyball League
The 2011 Women's European Volleyball League was the third edition of the annual Women's European Volleyball League, which featured Women's national volleyball teams from twelve European countries: Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Romania, Serbia, Spain, and Turkey. A preliminary league round was played from May 25 to July 10, and the final four tournament, which was held at Istanbul, Turkey, on 15/16 July. During the league round, competing nations were drawn into two pools of four teams, and played each other in a double round-robin system, with two matches per leg in a total of six legs. Pool winners qualified for the final four round, joining the host team. Promotion And Relegation
In sports leagues, promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are often called open leagues. In a system of promotion and relegation, the best-ranked team(s) in the lower division are ''promoted'' to the higher division for the next season, and the worst-ranked team(s) in the higher division are ''relegated'' to the lower division for the next season. In some leagues, playoffs or qualifying rounds are also used to determine rankings. This process can continue through several levels of divisions, with teams being exchanged between adjacent divisions.
