Nikolay Kiselyov (soldier)
Nikolay Yakovlevich Kiselyov (russian: Николай Яковлевич Киселёв; 1913 in Bogorodskoye – 1974 in Moscow), also commonly transliterated from the Russian language as Nikolai Kiselev, was a Soviet Red Army commissar, prisoner of war, and partisan leader during World War II. Kiselyov is best remembered in the West for his work in saving the lives of more than two hundred Jews endangered by the Nazi occupation of Belarus, where he was leading a detachment of the Soviet partisan movement in 1942. Kiselyov was posthumously recognized as one of the Russian Federation's Righteous Among the Nations by Yad Vashem, Israel's national Holocaust memorial, in 2005. Nikolay Fyodorovich Kiselyov (russian: Никола́й Фёдорович Киселёв; 25 October 1939 – 2005) was a Soviet Nordic combined athlete, Master of Sports of the USSR, International Class. Nikolay Ivanovich Kiselyov (russian: Николай Иванович Киселёв; born 29 November 1946) is a former Russian footballer and coach. In 2010, he managed FC Rusichi Oryol. Career Born in Kineshma Kiselyov began playing youth football with local side FC Tomna. He played in 148 Soviet league matches during a career as a midfielder with FC Khimik Severodonetsk, FC Zorya Luhansk, FC Spartak Moscow and FC Iskra Smolensk. Kiselyov won the 1969 Soviet Top League with Spartak and was awarded Master of Sport of the USSR and Merited Coach of Russia.
