Nikolaus Scherak
Nikolaus Scherak (born 16 October 1986) is an Austrian politician of NEOS – The New Austria and Liberal Forum who has been a member of the National Council since 2013. Between 2018 and 2021, he served as co-deputy chairman of NEOS. Prior, he was the leader of JuLis – Young Liberals Austria, a liberal youth organisation, which under his leadership, became the youth wing of NEOS. Personal life Scherak grew up in Baden bei Wien and graduated from the Theresianum in 2004. After a year of civil service as a paramedic with the Red Cross Vienna, he began a master's degree at the Juridicum of the University of Vienna, which he completed in 2010. He completed a doctorate in law at the University of Vienna and a master's degree in human rights at the Danube University in Krems. NEOS – The New Austria And Liberal Forum
NEOS – The New Austria and Liberal Forum (german: NEOS – Das Neue Österreich und Liberales Forum) is a liberal political party in Austria. It was founded as NEOS – The New Austria in 2012. In 2014, NEOS merged with Liberal Forum and adopted its current name. Since 2018, NEOS's chairwoman and parliamentary leader has been Beate Meinl-Reisinger. It is the smallest party in the National Council with 15 seats, and won 8.3% in the 2019 legislative election. NEOS is represented in seven of Austria's nine Landtage, and is involved in government in Salzburg and Vienna. NEOS is a member of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe, and its one MEP sits with the Renew Europe group in the European Parliament. Indra Collini
Indra Collini (born 6 December 1970 in Dornbirn) is an Austrian business economist and politician ( NEOS). Life Between 1990 and 1996 Collini studied business administration at the University of Innsbruck (degree: Magistra) and has since held various positions in marketing, including at Gasteiner, Vöslauer and Yuu'n Mee. In 2012 she volunteered for NEOS. A year later she became deputy state spokeswoman for NEOS in Lower Austria and in November 2016 succeeded Nikolaus Scherak as state spokeswoman. She has been a member of the extended board of NEOS Austria since 2016. In May 2017, Indra Collini was elected the top candidate at a general meeting in St. Pölten with 82.6 percent. When NEOS took office for the first time in Lower Austria in the 2018 state elections, it received 5.2 percent of the votes. Legislative elections were held in Austria on 29 September 2013 to elect the 25th National Council, the lower house of Austria's bicameral parliament.
