Nikolas Tomsick
Nicholas Tomsick (born 26 February 1991) is an American-Croatian professional basketball player who plays for Donar Groningen in the BNXT League. In 2019, he led the Icelandic Úrvalsdeild karla in assists while playing for Þór Þorlákshöfn. He became well known for his clutch performances in close games in the Úrvalsdeild, hitting several game winning shots at the buzzer for both Þór and Stjarnan. College career Tomsick played two seasons at North Platte Community College from 2010 to 2012. As a sophomore he led the NJCAA Region 9 and ranked third in the nation in scoring at 22.3 points per game and was named to the All-conference first team and All-NJCAA Region IX Tournament Team. In 2012, he transferred to Fort Lewis where he averaged 17.3 points in 57 games from 2012 to 2014. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. Point guards are expected to run the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Donar, also known as Donar Groningen, is a professional basketball club based in Groningen, Netherlands. The club competes in the BNXT League and its home arena is MartiniPlaza, which has a seating capacity of 4,350 people. Donar is one of the traditional first division clubs along with Den Bosch, as it entered the league years ago. Ægir Þór Steinarsson (born May 10, 1991) is an Icelandic basketball player for LEB Oro club CB Lucentum Alicante and the Icelandic national team, where he participated at the EuroBasket 2015 and EuroBasket 2017. College Ægir played with Newberry from 2011 to 2013. Career Ægir started his career with Fjölnir and was named to the 1. deild karla Domestic All-First team in 2009. The Íþróttafélag Reykjavíkur men's basketball team, commonly known as ÍR, is the men's basketball department of Íþróttafélag Reykjavíkur. British Basketball League
The British Basketball League (BBL) is a men's professional basketball league in Great Britain and represents the highest level of play in the countries. The league is contested by 10 teams from England and Scotland. There are no clubs however from Wales or Northern Ireland. The BBL runs three additional knockout competitions alongside the BBL Championship which are the BBL Cup, the BBL Trophy and the end-of-season BBL Play-offs. The BBL sits above the National Basketball League and the Scottish Basketball Championship which effectively form the second tier of British basketball. BNXT League
The BNXT League, for sponsorship reasons the betFirst BNXT League, is a professional basketball league in Belgium and the Netherlands. The league is the first tier in both the Dutch and Belgian system, replacing the Dutch Basketball League, DBL and Pro Basketball League, PBL.
