Nikolaos Stylianou
Nikolaos Stylianou (born November 9, 1988) is a Cypriot professional basketball player for Keravnos of the Cypriot League. He played college basketball for Navarro College and West Texas A&M. After 3 years of college basketball, Stylianou entered the 2010 NBA draft but was not selected in the draft's two rounds. College career Stylianou played college basketball for Navarro College for two years. He then moved to West Texas A&M, where he played until 2009. Professional career After playing with West Texas A&M, Stylianou entered the 2010 NBA draft but was not selected in the draft's two rounds. He started his pro career with Rethymno of the Greek A2 League. After one year, he returned to Cyprus and joined AEK Larnaca of the Cypriot Division A. The following seasons, Stylianou returned to Greece and played for Kavala, Koroivos and OFI Crete, before returning to Cyprus in order to join Keravnos. Cypriot Basketball Super Cup
The Cypriot Basketball Super Cup is a men's professional basketball competition in Cyprus, organized by the Cyprus Basketball Federation. It is contested by the champion of the Cypriot First Division and the winner of the Cypriot Cup. History The first Cypriot Super Cup match was played in 1985, with AEL winning the trophy, after beating ENAD 78–75. From 195 until 1994, the competition was held under the name "Independence Shield", but in the following years it was called, the "Federation Cup". The Cyprus men's national basketball team ( el, Εθνική ομάδα μπάσκετ της Κύπρου) represents Cyprus in international basketball, and is controlled by the Cyprus Basketball Federation. The national team is coached by Christophoros Livadiotis. The Greek Basket League (GBL), often also referred to as the Greek A1 Basketball League, or Greek Basketball Championship (originally called Panhellenic Basketball Championship), and also known as the Stoiximan Basket League for sponsorship reasons, is the first tier level professional basketball league in Greece.
