Nicholas Antero "Niko" Hämäläinen (born 5 March 1997) is a professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Belgian club RWDM47 on loan from Queens Park Rangers. Born in the United States, he represents the Finland national team. Born and raised in the United States, Hämäläinen was eligible to represent Finland through his Finnish father. He represented Finland at various youth levels before making his senior debut against Estonia on 11 January 2019. In the sport of association football, a defender is an outfield position whose primary role is to stop attacks during the game and prevent the opposition from scoring. John Thorrington
John Gerard Thorrington (born October 17, 1979) is a South African-born American retired soccer player who currently serves as co-president and general manager of Major League Soccer club Los Angeles FC. Although raised in the United States, Thorrington started his career as a youth team player in England with Premier League side Manchester United. In 1999, he moved to Germany and signed with Bayer Leverkusen, however he failed to make the first team with either club and returned to England, where he signed for Huddersfield Town.
