Nii Okaidja Adamafio
Nii Okaidja Adamafio is a Ghanaian politician. He was the Minister of the Interior in the Rawlings government from 1997 to 2001. He was the first Member of Parliament from 1997 to 2001 in the Odododiodoo constituency. Early life and education Adamafio is a Ghanaian and was born in Accra, Ghana. He attended La Bone Secondary School, and graduated in 1964. Politics Adamafio served as Member of Parliament for Odododiodoo constituency in the Greater Accra region of Ghana for two paliamantary sittings. He stood for the position of a Member of Parliament for the Odododiodoo constituency in the year 1992 and won. He again contested and won in the 1996 Ghanaian general elections, on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress with a total valid votes of 29,142 representing 35.40%. Ishmael Tetteh Aryeetey
Ishmael Tetteh Aryeetey is a Ghanaian politician and a Chief Executive. He served as a member of parliament in the First Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana for the Odododiodoo constituency in the Greater Accra region of Ghana. Early life and education Tetteh Aryeetey was born on 9 August 1950. He attended Dundee University and London School of Economics where he obtained respectively a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Master of Science in Computer Science. Politics Tetteh Aryeetey was elected as a member of the First Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana during the 1992 Ghanaian parliamentary election. Democratic Freedom Party
The Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) was a political party in Ghana. It was formed in 2006 and eventually merged with the National Democratic Congress in 2011. It came in fourth place in the Ghanaian general election of 2008 with 0.33% of the total vote. Formation The formation of the Democratic Freedom Party was announced in February, 2006 by Dr. Obed Asamoah, former chairman of the National Democratic Congress, as a viable third party alternative to the National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party. Jerry Rawlings
Jerry John Rawlings (22 June 194712 November 2020) was a Ghanaian military officer and politician who led the country for a brief period in 1979, and then from 1981 to 2001. He led a military junta until 1992, and then served two terms as the democratically elected President of Ghana. Rawlings came to power in Ghana as a flight lieutenant of the Ghana Air Force following a coup d'état in 1979. Prior to that, he led an unsuccessful coup attempt against the ruling military government on 15 May 1979, just five weeks before scheduled democratic elections were due to take place. After handing power over to a civilian government, he took back control of the country on 31 December 1981 as the chairman of the Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC). Convention People's Party
The Convention People's Party (CPP) is a Socialism, socialist political party in Ghana based on the ideas of the first President of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah. The CPP was formed in June 1949 after Nkrumah broke away from the United Gold Coast Convention (UGCC). Nkrumah was the then appointed Secretaty General of the UGCC when he was arrested by the leader of the UGCC and imprisoned for an alleged thought, plans and power against Kwame Nkrumah's leadership. Kwame Nkrumah then formed the Convention People's Party with support of some UGCC members and had a purpose for self governance. Upon Kwame Nkrumah's leadership with the CPP, he orgranized a non violent protest and strike for support of the purpose for self-governance which took him to imprisonment for a second time, but he was released after winning a massive vote by the CPP following the colonies election general election whilst he was in prison.
