Nihal Güres
Nihal Güres (born 1962 in Ankara) is a Turkish artist and writer. She is also sometimes referred to as Nihal Gürses. Early life and education Nihal Güres was born in 1962 in Ankara. She was educated in literature and language of Latin and Greek variety at the Istanbul University classical languages and filology department. She received her art education from Sabri Berkel and Neşe Aybey. She worked with Berkel on contemporary art the ''İstasyon'' art Academy and was educated in miniature by Aybey at the ''Basın Müzesi.'' She had worked as a flight attendant at Turkish Airlines for some time, however quit this job after she got married and then started to take miniature lessons from the Master of Miniature Art, Neşe Aybey. Aybey then later directed her to the ''İstasyon'' art Academy where she met Sabri Berkel. From there under the guidance of Berkel she held her first exhibition in 1993. Sabri Berkel
Sabri Fetah Berkel (1907–1993) was a Turkish-Albanian modernist painter; he was one of the most important painters and academic personalities of the last century in Turkey. Berkel was born in Skopje, where, in 1927, he completed high school at a French lyceum. From 1927 to 1928 he studied at an art school in Belgrade. From 1929–1935 he finished his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts, Florence. Berkel visited his country Albania in 1982 where he met with his family and parents. Berkel died in Istanbul. Neşe Aybey
Neşe Aybey (1930–2015), also written Neş'e Aybey, was a Turkish Painter, Miniaturist and Academic in the field of miniature art, one of the ''Traditional Turkish Arts'' and part of the Ottoman Book Arts. She was the older sister of sculptor Gürdal Duyar. Neşe Aybey was born as Neşe Duyar on 2 March 1930 as the second child of Fikri Duyar and Nezahat Duyar (Erişkin). She was the older sister of sculptor Gürdal Duyar (1935–2004) and younger sister of Erdal Duyar (1927–1975). She was married to Hasan Rauf Aybey (1921–2005), the internist- Medical Doctor and poet.
