Nightmare In Blood
''Nightmare in Blood'' is a 1978 American horror film directed by professional late night television horror movie host, and writer, John Stanley. Plot Attendees at a horror-film convention in San Francisco keep disappearing. It turns out that the guest of honor is a real vampire, and his henchmen are kidnapping the convention guests. A horror writer, a Sherlock Holmes fan and an Israeli Nazi-hunter set out to stop him. Production Primary filming occurred at the Fox Oakland Theatre in Oakland, California. The Fox was renamed the "Palace" in the film. Release The film ran in the drive-in theater circuit for nearly a decade and had a wide VHS release in the 1980s. In 2004, Image Entertainment released the film on DVD. Kenn Davis
Kenn Davis (1932–2010) was an American surrealist painter and mystery novel writer. During the 1950s and 1960s he was associated with the Beat Generation at San Francisco's North Beach. Life and education Kenn Davis was born as Kenneth Allan Schmoker in Salinas, California. After his parents divorced, he moved at age 5 with his mother and younger brother (born Marvin Schmoker) to San Francisco. He attended grammar school in San Francisco. He went to finger painting and drawing classes on Saturdays at the San Francisco Museum of Art, today's San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. At the beginning of WWII, age 10, Kenn and his brother attended a Catholic boy's boarding school in Marin County across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. ''Cinema Insomnia'' is a nationally syndicated American television series presented by horror host Mr. Lobo. Format Typically, Mr. Lobo opens each episode by promising to screen a well-known horror or science fiction classic (such as ''Creature from the Black Lagoon'' or ''Alien''); however budgetary limitations, acts of God or other circumstances invariably force him to show a much lower quality movie (such as ''Starcrash'' or ''Santa Claus Conquers The Martians''). Unlike the various hosts and robots of ''Mystery Science Theater 3000'', Mr. Lobo does not appear while the movie is playing; instead he appears in brief vignettes in between segments of the movie.
