Nightmare (1942 Film)
''Nightmare'' is a 1942 American film noir crime film directed by Tim Whelan and starring Diana Barrymore, Brian Donlevy. The film was based on a novel of the same name by Philip MacDonald. Plot Leslie Stafford (Diana Barrymore) is a secretary who seeks the help of a home invader, Daniel Shane (Brian Donlevy), to dispose of the body of her murdered husband in wartime London. Tim Whelan
Tim Whelan (November 2, 1893 – August 12, 1957) was an American film director, writer, producer and actor best remembered for his writing credits on ''Harold Lloyd'' and ''Harry Langdon'' comedies, and his directing of mostly British films (e.g.''The Thief of Bagdad (1940 film), The Thief of Bagdad'' (1940). Hans Georg Conried Jr. (April 15, 1917 – January 5, 1982) was an American actor and comedian. He was known for providing the voices of George Darling and Captain Hook in Walt Disney's ''Peter Pan'' (1953), Snidely Whiplash in Jay Ward's ''Dudley Do-Right'' cartoons, Professor Waldo P. Wigglesworth in Ward's ''Hoppity Hooper'' cartoons, was host of Ward's "Fractured Flickers" and Professor Kropotkin on the radio and film versions of ''My Friend Irma''. Lydia Bilbrook
Lydia Bilbrook (6 May 1888 – 4 January 1990; sometimes credited as Bilbrooke) was an English actress whose career spanned four decades, first as a stage performer in the West End, and later in films. Bilbrook made her first stage appearance in 1906 and her last in 1924. She created roles in ''Where the Rainbow Ends'' (1911), '' The Great Adventure'' (1913), and ''Dear Brutus'' (1917). Anita Sharp-Bolster (28 August 1895 – 1 June 1985) was an Irish-born American actress who appeared in 88 films and 12 TV series from 1928 to 1978. She was sometimes billed as Anita Bolster. Arthur Gould-Porter (4 January 1905 – 2 January 1987) was an English actor who appeared in films and on television and stage.
