The Night Of The Hunter (novel)
''The Night of the Hunter'' is a 1953 thriller novel by American author Davis Grubb. The book was a national bestseller and a finalist for the 1955 National Book Award. Story line and development Murderous ex-convict Harry Powell misrepresents himself as a prison chaplain upon his release from prison. Acting on a story told to him by his now-dead cellmate, "Reverend" Powell cons the cellmate's widow, Willa Harper, into marrying him in hopes that her children will tell him where their father hid the money from his last robbery. After killing their mother, he embarks on a hunt for the children, who have sensed his evil and are running from him. Grubb explores the presentation of the American South during the Great Depression. He uses tropes of the Southern Gothic genre to explore issues such as social corruption and instability. The Night of Hunters Tour was the eleventh world concert tour by American singer-songwriter Tori Amos in support of her twelfth studio album ''Night of Hunters''. During the tour Amos was supported by the Apollon Musagète Quartett, making this her first tour with a string quartet. As well as playing select songs from ''Night of Hunters'', Amos played various songs from her back catalogue rearranged by her longtime collaborator, John Philip Shenale, to accommodate the string quartet. Amos was accompanied by the string quartet on every leg of the tour except in South Africa, where she performed solo with her Bösendorfer piano. ''Moville Mysteries'' is a Canadian animated horror adventure television series starring Frankie Muniz as Mosley "Mo" Moville. Two seasons were produced with 26 episodes from September 7, 2002, to May 14, 2003. The show was on YTV in Canada and Fox Kids (later Jetix) in Latin America. Plot Cassie Harrison, a 13-year-old girl, is searching the universe for her father after he was kidnapped by space pirates. Jennifer Greene is one of the pseudonyms for Jill Alison Hart (born in Michigan, United States). She is a writer of over 85 romance novels since 1980. She has also written novels as Jeanne Grant and Jessica Massey, and uses the name Alison Hart as a business name for her writing. She has been honored with many awards.
