Night Kaleidoscope
''Night Kaleidoscope'' is a 2017 micro-budget psychedelic vampire horror directed by Grant McPhee. It follows psychic investigator, Fion (Patrick O’Brien), who has been hired by the local police to track down a pair of vampires responsible for a spate of murders. Plot Fion is a gifted psychic, a trait passed down the generations from his father and grandfather. He is called to the scene of a murder by Pollock (Craig-James Moncur), a police officer who needs Fion's help in tracking down the vampire couple responsible - Carrie and Lewis (Kitty Colquhoun and Jason Harvey). Although accustomed to working by himself, Fion is approached by Isobel, the girlfriend of one of the victims of the vampires. Together, and with the help of Harry (Robert Williamson), who supplies Fion with a drug that helps to induce his visions, they work. Production Night Kaleidoscope was shot in 5 days for £4,000. Grant McPhee
Grant McPhee is a Scottish film director, cinematographer and writer. His films include the music documentaries ''Big Gold Dream'', ''Teenage Superstars'' and the drama, ''Far From the Apple Tree'' starring Sorcha Groundsell. He won the prestigious audience choice award in 2015 for his film Big Gold Dream at the 2015 edition of the Edinburgh International Film Festival. In 2022, he co-wrote the book, Hungry Beat, an oral history of Scottish Post-Punk music which was published by White Rabbit Books. Gareth Morrison (born 6 December 1981) is Scottish actor, screenwriter and film producer. Morrison appears primarily in horror, thriller and dramatic movies. Tartan Features
Tartan Features is a filmmaking network and distribution platform based in Scotland. It supports the production of micro-budget feature films. Origin Tartan Features was established in 2013. Its name is in reference to the defunct "Tartan Shorts" filmmaking strand run by the Scottish Screen Production Fund (later Scottish Screen) and BBC Scotland. In February 2014, Tartan Features made their first venture into do-it-yourself cinema distribution. ''Wigilia'' is a 2014 drama film directed by Graham Drysdale and starring Iwona Glowinska and Duglas T. Stewart. It centres on a traditional Polish Christmas Eve ''wigilia'' supper shared in Glasgow by its two main characters, Agata and Robbie. The film is Drysdale's debut feature.
