Nigerian National Assembly
The National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is a bicameral legislature established under section 4 of the Nigerian Constitution. It consists of a Senate with 109 members and a 360-member House of Representatives. The body, modeled after the federal Congress of the United States, is supposed to guarantee equal representation with 3 senators to each 36 states irrespective of size in the Senate plus 1 senator representing the Federal Capital Territory and single-member district, plurality voting in the House of Representatives. The National Assembly, like many other organs of the Nigerian federal government, is based in Abuja in the Federal Capital Territory. Adekunle Akinlade
Adekunle Abdulkabir Akinlade (born 9 October 1969) is a Nigerian politician. He represented Egbado South and Ipokia federal constituency in the House of Representatives. He left the All Progressive Congress and joined the Allied Peoples Movement to run for Governor of Ogun State in the 2019 election. Early life Akinlade was born in Ipadilpopo Compound at Agosasa, Ipokia Local Government Area of Ogun State. He spent his early years travelling across the country with his father. Kayode Oladele (born 8 June 1963) is a Nigerian human rights activist, lawyer and politician who was a member of the Nigerian House of Representatives representing Yewa North/Imeko-Afon Federal Constituency, Ogun State, from 2015–2019. Oladipupo Olatunde Adebutu (born 25 February 1962) is a Nigerian politician from Ogun State. At the Age of 30, he won his seat in the National Assembly in 1992 where he represented the Remo Federal Constituency under the umbrella of the now defunct Social Democratic Party (SDP). Buruji Kashamu (19 May 1958 – 8 August 2020) was a Nigerian politician who served as a Senator representing Ogun East in the 8th National Assembly. Ogun East covers eleven local government areas: Ijebu North East, Ijebu North, Ijebu-Ode, Ijebu East, Ikenne, Odogbolu, Remo North, Sagamu, and Ogun Waterside.
