Niels Werring
Niels Roth Heyerdahl Werring (4 August 1897 – 19 August 1990) was a Norwegian ship-owner. He was the senior director the shipping company Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding ASA. Werring was born at Kristiansund in Møre og Romsdal, Norway. He was the son of Edvard Werring (1857-1949) and Gina Mathea Heyerdahl (1872-1948). His family operated a company dealing in dried and salted cod. After graduating from the Oslo Commerce School (''Oslo Handelsgymnasium'') in 1916, he stayed for a few years in the United States and Brazil, as a representative of the family business. In 1926, he was married to Else Heyerdahl Wilhelmsen (1905–1989), daughter of Halfdan Wilhelmsen (1864–1923) and granddaughter of Wilhelm Wilhelmsen, founder of one of the country's largest shipping company. Else Werring
Else Werring, née Wilhelmsen (29 April 1905 – 23 November 1989) was a Norwegian Norwegian Royal Family, royal hostess. Personal life She was born in Tønsberg as a daughter of shipowner Halfdan Wilhelmsen (1864–1923) and Ragnhild Oppen (1869–1952). She was a granddaughter of the founder of Wilh. Wilhelmsen Wilhelm Wilhelmsen (born 1839), Wilhelm Wilhelmsen (1839–1910), an aunt of Tom Wilhelmsen (shipping magnate), Tom Wilhelmsen and a niece of businessmen Finn, Axel and Wilhelm Wilhelmsen (born 1872), Wilhelm Wilhelmsen. She had middle school, and also attended school for two years in England and one year in France. In March 1926 she married shipowner Niels Werring. Fornebu (local form ''Fornebo'') is a peninsular area in the suburban municipality of Bærum in Norway, bordering western parts of Oslo. Oslo Airport, Fornebu (FBU) served as the main airport for Oslo and the country since before World War II and until the evening of October 7, 1998, when it was closed down. Overnight, a grand moving operation was performed, so that the following morning, the new main airport, located inland at Gardermoen (OSL), opened for operations as the main airport, as opposed to previously having been a minor airport. As of 2001, the Fornebu area is being developed as a centre for information technology and telecom industry, as well as there being some housing project developments nearby. The new headquarters of Norway's telecom giant Telenor are located in the area. The peninsula is connected to Langodden and Snarøya, which are more established areas of private residences. The Bilderberg meeting (also known as the Bilderberg Group) is an annual off-the-record conference established in 1954 to foster dialogue between Europe and North America. Bærum () is a municipality in the Greater Oslo Region in Norway that forms an affluent suburb of Oslo on the west coast of the city. Wilhelm Wilhelmsen (1839–1910)
Morten Wilhelm Wilhelmsen, known as Wilh. Wilhelmsen (12 July 1839 – 16 November 1910), was a Norwegian shipping magnate. Wilhelm Wilhelmsen was born at Tønsberg in Vestfold, Norway. He was apprenticed with Fritz Heinrich Frølich (1807–1877) who was the founder of Christiania Bank and Kreditkasse. His commercial education continued at business firms in France, Belgium and the Netherlands. In 1861, he founded a brokerage business in Tønsberg. His own career as a shipowner began with the purchase of the bark ''Mathilde'' in 1865. The shipping company, Wilh. Wilhelmsen which resulted would eventually become Norway's largest shipping company. By 1886, he had established himself as Tønsberg's largest shipowner.
