Niechorze
Niechorze (german: Horst) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Rewal, within Gryfice County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-western Poland. It is situated between the Baltic Sea to the north and Liwia Łuża lake to the south. It lies approximately east of Rewal, north of Gryfice, and north-east of the regional capital Szczecin. It is located on the Trzebiatowski Coast. The village has a population of 904. History At the beginning Horst (Niechorze) was a small fishing village. In 1866 a large lighthouse was built, which still exists. Development of the settlement began in 1870. In 1889 there were already 700 people living in Horst. On the 1 July 1896 a narrow-gauge railway was opened connecting Niechorze with Gryfice (then ''Greifenberg''). On 1 May 1913 the line was extended to Pogorzelica (''Fischerkaten'') and Trzebiatów (''Treptow''). These connections helped to expand the village. Trzebiatów
Trzebiatów (pronounced ; ; formerly german: Treptow an der Rega) is a town in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland, with 10,119 inhabitants (2016). Trzebiatów is located on the Rega River in the north-western part of Poland, roughly 9 kilometers south of the Baltic coast. Trzebiatów obtained town rights in 1277 under Pomeranian rulers who had invited German settlers to populate the area. It was part of the Duchy of Pomerania within the Holy Roman Empire. In 1416, the town became part of the Hanseatic League, then served as an important trade post and developed architecturally, with a typical Brick Gothic-style influence.
