Nidderau Station
Nidderau station is a junction station on the Friedberg–Hanau railway and the Bad Vilbel–Glauburg-Stockheim railway, Nidder Valley Railway (german: Niddertalbahn) in the town of Nidderau in the German state of Hesse. The station is classified by Deutsche Bahn (DB) as a German railway station categories, category 5 station. History The station was established on 1 December 1879 under the name of ''Heldenbergen-Windecken'' as the end of the first section of the Friedberg–Hanau railway (Hanau to Heldenbergen-Windecken). The second section to Friedberg was opened for freight on 15 September 1881 and for passengers on the following 15 October. It was owned and operated by the Prussian state railways. On 1 October 1905 the section of the Nidder Valley Railway from Heldenbergen-Windecken to Glauburg-Stockheim station, Stockheim was opened. Nidderau
Nidderau () is a town in the Main-Kinzig district, in Hesse, Germany. It is situated approximately 12 km north of Hanau, and 20 km northeast of Frankfurt. Nidderau was created in the merger of the municipality of Heldenbergen with the town of Windecken on January 1, 1970. Eichen and Erbstadt joined Nidderau on January 1, 1972 and Ostheim merged with Nidderau in July 1974. Hanau Hauptbahnhof is a railway station in Hanau in the German state of Hesse, and is a major railway junction east of Frankfurt am Main. Altenstadt, Hesse
Altenstadt is a municipality in the district Wetteraukreis, in Hesse, Germany. It is situated in the Nidder valley, approx. 27 kilometers north-east of Frankfurt am Main. Bad Vilbel () is a spa town in Hesse (Hessen), Germany, famous for its many mineral water Spring (hydrology), springs.
