Nicolás Galvis
Nicolás Galvis Llano (born 9 April 1997) is a professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for Scrosoppi FC in League1 Ontario. Born in Colombia and raised in Canada, he has previously accepted call-ups to the Canada national team. Early life Galvis was born in Bogotá, Colombia and lived with his family in Manizales and began playing soccer at age five with Once Caldas. At the age of seven, his family moved to St. Catharines, Canada, where he began playing with St. Catharines Concord SC. Afterwards, he played youth soccer with Oakville SC and in February 2013, he went to trial with Uruguayan club Defensor Sporting, where he was invited to stay on with the U16 team. The 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup was the 14th edition of the CONCACAF Gold Cup, the biennial international men's soccer championship of the North, Central American and Caribbean region organized by CONCACAF, and 24th CONCACAF regional championship overall. Categoría Primera B, commonly referred to as Torneo BetPlay Dimayor due to sponsorship by online betting company BetPlay (formerly ''Torneo Águila''), is the second-division football league in Colombia. Format DIMAYOR has applied a new format from 2015 onwards because of the expansion to 20 teams in the Primera A tournament. The league will no longer have Apertura and Finalización seasons but rather a yearlong tournament with home and away games.
