Nicole Schmidhofer
Nicole "Nici" Schmidhofer (born 15 March 1989) is an Austrian former FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, World Cup Alpine skiing, alpine ski racer. She specializes in the Downhill (ski competition), downhill and super-G events. Career Born in Friesach, Friesach, Carinthia, Schmidhofer made her World Cup debut in March 2006–07 FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, 2007. She competed for Austria at the 2010 Winter Olympics, but did not finish in the super-G, which was her only event at the Olympics. Three years later, Schmidhofer finished in 11th place in the super-G at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2013, 2013 World Championships in Planai, Schladming. Planai
Planai is a ski area in central Austria, the main mountain in the Schladming area in Styria. It is one of four adjoining mountains, which includes Hauser Kaibling, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm, connected under the name Schladminger 4-Berge-Schaukel. It is not regarded as a single mountain and all text from the official website cites the total amount of pistes. Planai was the host venue of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in 2013, held in early February. The FIS Alpine Ski World Cup is the top international circuit of alpine skiing competitions, launched in 1966 by a group of ski racing friends and experts which included French journalist Serge Lang and the alpine ski team directors from France (Honore Bonnet) and the USA ( Bob Beattie).
