Nicole Resch
Nicole Resch (born 1975) is a German jurist and former secretary general of the International Biathlon Union (IBU). She left her position during a corruption scandal investigation of her and the IBU President. Biography Resch started cross-country skiing at the age of eight years and switched to biathlon at the age of 12 years being trained by Manfred Geyer. The International Biathlon Union (IBU; german: Internationale Biathlon-Union) is the international governing body of biathlon. Its headquarters were in Salzburg, Austria, until May 2020, when the Federation moved to Anif, on the outskirts of the city. It was rocked by a corruption scandal that broke in 2018, concerning the Russians bribing its top two officials. Competitive cross-country skiing encompasses a variety of race formats and course lengths.
