Nicolas Prost
Nicolas "Nico" Jean Prost (born 18 August 1981) is a French professional racing driver. He most recently raced in the FIA Formula E Championship before quitting the series. Also, he was a longstanding racer in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Lotus Rebellion Racing. Furthermore, He competes in the Andros Trophy and he was a reserve driver for the now defunct Lotus F1 team. He is a son of four-time Formula One world champion Alain Prost. Career Early years Born in Saint-Chamond, Loire, and despite being the oldest son of four-time Formula One World Drivers' champion Alain Prost and his wife Anne-Marie, he started his career at the late age of 22 in Formula Campus. 2012 24 Hours Of Le Mans
The 80th 24 Hours of Le Mans (French: ''80e 24 Heures du Mans'') was an 24-hour automobile endurance race for Le Mans Prototype and Le Mans Grand Touring Endurance cars held from 16 to 17 June 2012 at the Circuit de la Sarthe close to Le Mans, France before 240,000 spectators. It was the 80th running of the event, as organised by the automotive group, the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO) since 1923. The race was the third round of the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship, with 30 of the race's 56 entries contesting the championship. A test day was held two weeks prior to the race on 3 June. A Audi R18 e-tron quattro driven by André Lotterer, Marcel Fässler and Benoît Tréluyer started from pole position after Lotterer set the fastest overall lap time in the third qualifying session. FFSA GT Championship
The FFSA GT Championship (''Championnat de France FFSA GT'') is a French Grand Touring-style sports car racing series that began in 1997. It is the main event of the ''Championnat de France des Circuits'' (formerly called ''Super Série FFSA'' and ''GT Tour''). It is controlled by the Fédération Française du Sport Automobile (FFSA) and organized by racing company Oreca. Since the demise of the French Supertouring Championship after the 2005 season, the French GT has become France's major circuit racing championship. 2008–09 A1 Grand Prix Season
The 2008–09 A1 Grand Prix season was the fourth and final season of the A1 Grand Prix formula. Ferrari supplied the engines for all entrants and advised on aspects of the chassis, based on its championship-winning F2004. A1 Team Ireland became the fourth A1GP champions, after a title battle which went down to the final round in Great Britain. Ireland won with 112 points, with team driver Adam Carroll taking five victories at Chengdu, Sepang, Taupo and the series finale at Brands Hatch during the shortened 14 race season. Three rounds were cancelled for various reasons. The following season was cancelled. A1 Team Switzerland finished the season in second place with 95 points and four wins by its driver Neel Jani. 2011 Le Mans Series Season
The 2011 Le Mans Series was the eighth season of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest's Le Mans Series. The series began on 3 April with the 6 Hours of Castellet and ended after five rounds on 25 September. It is a series for Le Mans Prototype and Grand Touring style cars broken into 4 classes. LMP1, LMP2 and FLM are retained from last year, while GT1 is removed, and GT2 split into GTE-Pro and GTE-Am. With the launch of the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup, several LMP1 teams left the Le Mans Series, such as Peugeot Sport, Audi Sport, Aston Martin Racing and Oreca. The 2009 Le Mans Series was the sixth season of Automobile Club de l'Ouest's Le Mans Series. It was contested over five events between 5 April and 13 September 2009. Aston Martin Racing trio Jan Charouz, Tomáš Enge and Stefan Mücke finished every race on the podium en route to the LMP1 championship. In LMP2, the pro-amateur pairing of Olivier Pla and Miguel Amaral won the title, with two class wins. The 2010 FIA GT1 World Championship was the inaugural FIA GT1 World Championship, a motor racing competition reserved for FIA GT1 cars. The championship was a replacement for the FIA GT Championship which had been held annually from 1997 to 2009. It was the first sports car racing series to be sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) as a World Championship since the demise of the World Sportscar Championship at the end of the 1992 season. 2013 American Le Mans Series Season
The 2013 American Le Mans Series was the fifteenth and final season of the International Motor Sports Association GT Championship being labeled as the American Le Mans Series, before merging up with the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series in 2014.
