Nicolai Frahm
Nicolai Frahm (born 1975) is a London-based Danish art advisor, exhibition producer, collector, and the co-founder of Frahm & Frahm and Dairy Art Centre, a contemporary art gallery in London which closed in 2014. Early life Nicolai Frahm was born in 1975, and grew up in Copenhagen in a family collecting and showing post-war European art to the public at their private art foundation. His father Flemming Frahm was a businessman and art collector. Career He started his career at Sotheby's and Christie's in London before opening his own firm in London and Basel in 1997. Frahm and his brother Michael Frahm later founded Frahm & Frahm - a company specialising in producing institutional exhibitions, creating collaborations with contemporary artists, and building private art collections. Dairy Art Centre was an art gallery in the premises of a former dairy in London founded in 2013 by Frank Cohen and Nicolai Frahm which exhibited work from their personal collections, as well as from other institutions. It was also used a venue to hire for events Dairy Art Centre's inaugural exhibition in early 2013 was called ''Quicksand'' by John Armleder. In 2014, Julian Schnabel presented ''Every Angel has a Dark Side'', his first solo exhibition in a public art space in the UK for nearly 15 years. John Armleder
John Armleder (born 1948, in Geneva) is a Swiss performance artist, painter, sculptor, critic, and curator. His work is based on his involvement with Fluxus in the 1960s and 1970s, when he created performance art pieces, installations and collective art activities that were strongly influenced by John Cage. However, Armleder's position throughout his career has been to avoid associating his artistic practice with any type of manifesto. Frank Cohen
Frank Cohen (born 15 October 1943) is a British businessman and art collector. He is frequently referred to as "the Saatchi of the North", in reference to the more famous art dealer Charles Saatchi. He was born and raised in Manchester, where he worked in market stalls before building up the ‘Home Improvement Company’ and then ‘GlynWebb Home Improvement Stores’, a large chain of Do It Yourself (DIY) stores in the north of the United Kingdom. Zeng Fanzhi (; born 1964) is a contemporary Chinese artist based in Beijing. Zeng's works have been praised as possessing an emotional directness, an intuitive psychological sense, and a carefully calibrated expressionistic technique. Born and raised in Wuhan, Zeng was interested primarily in painting and drawing from a young age, and did poorly in school. His earliest works are large-scale abstract paintings. Moving to Beijing in the early 1990s, Zeng's art became a response to this immersion in what he viewed as a more superficial environment, with his seminal ''Mask'' series displaying the tensions between the artist's dominant existential concerns and the pomposity and posturing of his new contemporary urban life (which is depicted ironically).
