Nicolae Chirtoacă
Nicolae Chirtoacă (born 22 March 1953) is a Moldovan political analyst and diplomat. He served as the Moldovan Ambassador to the United States from 2006 to 2009. During the Transnistria War, Chirtoacă led the State Department for Military Problems, and he was involved in the elaboration of a ceasefire agreement that put an end to the war. The Moldavian Soviet Socialist Republic ( ro, Republica Sovietică Socialistă Moldovenească, Moldovan Cyrillic: ) was one of the 15 republics of the Soviet Union which existed from 1940 to 1991. The republic was formed on 2 August 1940 from parts of Bessarabia, a region annexed from Romania on 28 June of that year, and parts of the Moldavian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, an autonomous Soviet republic within the Ukrainian SSR. After the Declaration of Sovereignty on 23 June 1990, and until 23 May 1991, it was officially known as the Soviet Socialist Republic of Moldova. Vladimir Voronin
Vladimir Voronin (; born 25 May 1941) is a Soviet and Moldovan politician. He was the third president of Moldova from 2001 until 2009 and has been the First Secretary of the Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova (PCRM) since 1994. He was Europe's first democratically elected communist party head of state after the dissolution of the Eastern Bloc. Igor Munteanu (born 10 August 1965) is a Moldovan politician and diplomat serving as member of Parliament of Moldova since 2019.
