Nicol Čupková
Nicol Lucák Čupková (born 4 November 1992) is a Slovak ice hockey forward and member of the Slovak national ice hockey team. She most recently played with Agidel Ufa during the 2021–22 season of the Zhenskaya Hockey League (ZhHL) until leaving the team in early March, shortly after the Russian invasion of Ukraine began. International career Lucák Čupková represented Slovakia in the women's ice hockey tournament at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. She played in all five games and tied for the team lead in scoring with three points. She also played in all three games of the 2010 Olympic qualification tournament. Lucák Čupková has also appeared for Slovakia at five IIHF Women's World Championships across two divisions. Her first appearance came in 2009. Košice
Košice ( , ; german: Kaschau ; hu, Kassa ; pl, Коszyce) is the largest city in eastern Slovakia. IIHF Women's World Championship
The IIHF World Women's Championship (WW or WWC), officially the IIHF Ice Hockey Women's World Championship, is the premier international tournament in women's ice hockey. It is governed by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). The official world competition was first held in 1990, with four more championships held in the 90s. From 1989 to 1996, and in years that there was no world tournament held, there were European Championships and in 1995 and 1996 a Pacific Rim Championship. From the first Olympic Women's Ice Hockey Tournament in 1998 onward, the Olympic tournament was played instead of the IIHF Championships. The 2019 IIHF Women's World Championship Division I was two international ice hockey tournaments organised by the International Ice Hockey Federation. The Division I Group A tournament was played in Budapest, Hungary, from 7 to 13 April 2019, and the Division I Group B tournament was played in Beijing, China, from 6 to 12 April 2019. Hungary and Denmark earned promotion to the Top Division in Division I Group A, while the Netherlands gained promotion after their Division I Group B victory. The 2010 IIHF World Women's U18 Championship was the third junior female world ice hockey championships. It was held from March 27 through April 3, 2010, in Chicago, Illinois. The Slovak women's national ice hockey team represents Slovakia at the International Ice Hockey Federation's IIHF World Women's Championships. The women's national team is managed by the Slovak Ice Hockey Federation (SZĽH). Slovakia has 847 female players in 2023 and is ranked 15th in the IIHF rankings.
