Nicolás "Nico" Melamed Ribaudo (born 11 April 2001) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Segunda Division club UD Almería. Club career Espanyol Born in Castelldefels, Barcelona, Catalonia, Melamed joined RCD Espanyol's youth setup in 2013, after representing UE Cornellà and FP Atlètic Vilafranca. Daniel Jarque González (1 January 1983 – 8 August 2009) was a Spanish professional footballer who played as a central defender and spent his entire career with Espanyol. He was named team captain one month before his death from a heart attack at the age of 26.
