Niclas Hävelid
Niclas Anders Hävelid (born April 12, 1973) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey defenceman who last played for Linköpings HC of the Swedish Elitserien during the 2012–13 season. He won a gold medal with Team Sweden at the 2006 Winter Olympics. Playing career While born in Stockholm, he was raised in Enköping, roughly 78 km west of his birthplace. Hävelid began his hockey career playing locally around his home of Enköping in Division 1 of the SIHA. After two seasons with the Enköping he played with the Arlanda Wings for the 1990–1991 season. The following year, he moved to AIK, a team based in Stockholm. He continued with AIK until the 1998–99 season when he went to the Malmö Redhawks. 1999 NHL Entry Draft
The 1999 NHL Entry Draft was the 37th NHL Entry Draft. It was held on June 26 at the FleetCenter in Boston. According to ''Sports Illustrated'' and other sports news agencies, at the time the 1999 draft was considered one of the deepest in talent in years, headed by Patrik Stefan and the Sedin twins, Daniel and Henrik. As a result of the draft lottery, the first three picks going into draft day were held by the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Atlanta Thrashers expansion team, and the Vancouver Canucks, respectively. The Canucks were determined to select both Sedins and therefore initiated a trading carousel involving multiple teams. After the trading was done, the Lightning had traded out of the first round altogether while the Thrashers held the first overall pick. Jason Krog
Jason Krog (born October 9, 1975) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre last contracted by Lørenskog IK in the Norwegian GET-ligaen (GET). Playing career A native of British Columbia, Krog began his junior career in the BCJHL with the Chilliwack Chiefs. He played with the Chiefs for three seasons, culminating in a 128-point season in 1994–95. The following season, he began a four-year tenure with the University of New Hampshire, notching 238 points (94 goals, 144 assists) in 152 games from 1995 to 1999. In 1998–99, Krog was awarded the Hobey Baker Award as the top collegiate hockey player. Undrafted, he was signed as a free agent by the New York Islanders on May 14, 1999. For three seasons, Krog mostly played in the American Hockey League with the Islanders' minor league affiliates. The 2002–03 NHL season was the 86th regular season of the National Hockey League. Anterior Cruciate Ligament
The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is one of a pair of cruciate ligaments (the other being the posterior cruciate ligament) in the human knee. The two ligaments are also called "cruciform" ligaments, as they are arranged in a crossed formation. In the quadruped stifle joint (analogous to the knee), based on its anatomical position, it is also referred to as the cranial cruciate ligament. The term cruciate translates to cross.
